Return Policy: all purchases are final purchases

No Returns on Vintage items. In my experience as an online seller for the last four years, the shipping costs and hassle of returning and restocking items is simply not worth the time for the buyer or the seller. Please take care and consider carefully all purchases before ordering. Refunds will not be given for clothing items that do not fit; please measure (or better yet, have someone else measure for you, before purchasing.) The only exception to this rule is if Smarty Pantalons has somehow misrepresented an item. I do my best to honestly and accurately describe each product so buyers can make informed decisions. If you find the product you have purchased does not match the description of the product you have received, please communicate with me and we will work out an amicable solution.

The general rule is no returns on any items, Handmade items included. However, if you are truly dissatisfied with your handmade purchase, for whatever reason, you may return the unused handmade item in the following manner: you pay return shipping, pack the item the way you received it, and send it back with delivery confirmation. When it is returned in the condition it was shipped to you, you will be credited the amount of your original purchase (no shipping is refunded) for use in the Smarty Pantalons Etsy Store. If the handmade item was misrepresented or is in some way faulty, please communicate with me and we will work out an amicable solution.

(If you bought an item that's just not your style, regift it! I love regifts and chances are you have someone in your life who loves them too.)
Payments should be made immediately upon purchase. If payment is not received within 3 days of purchase, the sale will be canceled and the item will be re-listed.
Most items ship USPS. I try to use priority mail when the price is reasonable as compared to parcel post or first class rates. You are welcome to pay for upgraded postage at any time and should communicate with me when placing your order. I do measure and weigh items in an attempt to provide accurate shipping estimates. If there is a problem shipping your order, I will contact you asap. Larger items, such as luggage, may ship via UPS. Please indicate in your order if you would like to purchase insurance for your purchase.

I will ship any item that will fit in a United States Post Office Global Priority Mail envelope for the shipping costs to that country. Please contact me if you’d like to make those arrangements. No parcels will be shipped overseas.

Canada, I will ship items to you but I need to figure out the best way to do so. I’m still getting the hang of this and if you know the best means, please fill me in. US Priority Mail?

I am providing information about the items in my store to the best of my research abilities, but sometimes I get stuck and can’t find out all the details about an item I want to know. If I am wrong in my intel, please educate me; I love to learn. If you have information about a product in my store that I seem to be lacking, I want to know. I never purposely misrepresent an item. If there is incorrect information in any of the product descriptions, it is completely unintentional and I would love to revise.
