I began my career as a totally left brain geek, in a bit of a creative way: I was a software person, creating code, not paper. At some point I went to art school, kind of on a whim and I absolutely loved graphic design. So I merged it with my software background and became a web designer, running my own graphic and web design studio for five years.

Discovery
I started making greeting cards a couple years ago with a Martha Stewart edge punch. With the proper YouTube training, I learned there was so much more to this hobby. I learned to stamp, die cut, water color, and use other tools, all on the Internet.

A Path to Health and Happiness
I find that this is the most relaxing activity ever for me. As a post cancer thriver, I learned that peace and calm are important to good health, living with as little stress as possible. Card making became that outlet for me and a way to to stay calm and at peace.

When I saw how happy people were to receive a handmade greeting card from me, it became my passion to continue finding my own happiness while sharing it with others.

Card Worthy!
I became part of a community of card makers and learned the inside joke of what it means to give my cards to those who are Card Worthy! In other words, those who appreciate receiving a card made by hand: Instead of tossing it into the trash, they savor it for at least a little while, or even frame it and keep it a lifetime.
This includes, of course, my mom, who displayed my first tea bag folded Christmas card that I gave her in 2014, every day for years! Thanks, Mommy!

Card Making Community
I eventually developed a love with butterflies and hearts. A magazine article inspired me to purchase the largest butterfly stamp I’ve found anywhere. In the course of making the purchase, I assigned myself to a local Stampin’ Up! (SU) Demonstrator who holds classes in her home. That exposed me to another community of card makers. I was a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and have found an entirely new experience within the SU community.

The Back Story
Many times I create a card with a story that either comes from from my life experiences or the story develops as the card is being made. I enjoy sharing the Back Story of the cards that actually have a back story. You’ll find it in the card descriptions.

Student and Coach
I have learned many techniques and have expanded to packaging. I share my knowledge with the South Florida community at local classes that I host. I will soon offer live virtual classes where you can make cards and other projects with me from the comfort of your home.

Your Invitation to Explore
So, I invite you into my world, look around. I hope you’ll enjoy my rather eclectic card line. I also offer custom designed cards for all occasions and invitations for special events, such as wedding invitations and place cards.

I also design card lines for businesses, customized using their logo and company colors. This is a great way to nurture relationships with coworkers and clients. Surprise them with a birthday card or thank them for a recent referral. Remember, I'm in the business of relationship building!
