The item shipped on time and I got it very quickly! I also love the necklace, it is beautiful and clearly a lot of work and love was put into it. A lot of people have commented on how unique it is and has definitely made a statement
A thirst for the exceptional and unconventional inspires unique jewelry designs.
My whole life I have always had an affinity for special and fun jewelry. I've never liked dressing or acting like the common norm, and those feelings influenced my taste in accessories. When I was rocking hot pink and gold shoes, band t-shirts and was painted with Indian henna, the thought of wearing ordinary, mall-purchased jewelry literally grossed me out.
I have been so blessed to have been able to travel to many countries all over the world, including South America, Europe and Africa, and seeing other cultures and lifestyles has greatly impacted who I am. While getting lost in the foreign, winding and exotic craft markets is where my jewelry-loving heart became aflutter.
I would treasure finding handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces. The imperfections and asymmetry made them perfect to me. How beautiful of a thing it is to own something original and unrepeated… Wearable art.
So my jewelry shopping continued at home, and I was left bored and unimpressed by my findings of the cookie-cutter, mass produced accessories that flooded the stores. Even the relatively "cool" jewelry came as trends, and every other girl and her mother would be wearing them. Super lame.
So I took matters in my own hands. I began collecting fun little toys, stones, microchips and anything else that I thought would look awesome dangling from my earlobes.
I started making earrings while sitting on my bedroom floor, and I let my imagination do the designing.
I didn't care what anyone else thought of my Gumby figurine or raw gemstone earrings, because I was wearing something that no one else in the world had, and I loved it.
I am inspired by all types of people and things that make people smile. The unparalleled, the asymmetrical, and the things that aren't afraid to be different.
I'm a firm believer of being exactly who you are. And if that means wearing badass, sometimes weird, and unmatched jewelry, then hell yeah!
It's my honor to continue creating unique pieces and to share my jewelry with the Etsy community. I hope my creations bring a smile to your face, and inspire you to be absolutely and completely who you are.
Because life is too short to wear ordinary jewelry.
