Bienvenidos a Sharon Smith Metal Arts.

Welcome to Sharon Smith Metal Arts. I am a Jewelry Artist & Metalsmith currently residing in Erie, PA. I have an MFA in Studio Art- Jewelry/Metalsmithing at the University of North Dakota, & previously earned an MA in Studio Art in Jewelry & Metalsmithing at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (now known as PennWest-Edinboro). I love working with metal because it's incredibly versatile. I can (& do!) make everything from jewelry to hollowware — bowls, vases, pitchers, platters, & such — to small-scale sculpture. While precious and non-ferrous metals are my main media, I also work with paper, leather, found objects & other things that strike my fancy. I'm especially interested in creating a line of memorial pieces, both jewelry & urns.
