I love where I live, simple as that. I'm from a little place called Blue Ridge nestled at the foot of the mountains in upstate South Carolina. My family comes from a small farm in western Pennsylvania so my roots are pretty much country all around. Smoke + Stag is a line of feather earrings started in spring 2012 that is meant to encapsulate my love for the easy going rural life and the many facets of materials, craftsmanship and aesthetics that appeal to me. I'm currently pursing an MFA and while I love my life as an artist I needed another creative outlet to balance out some of the crazy that comes with grad school. Designing this line of feather earrings and accessories is definitely worth it, because sometimes you just need a little something extra to take you mind of everything else.
