Efter att ha arbetat i åratal som trädgårdstekniker eller "växtdame" har jag sett min beskärda del av röriga skrivbord med smutsiga smartphones, datorskärmar och glasögon. Jag tänkte att det borde finnas en lösning som inte bara skulle vara funktionell utan också dekorativ. Det lade grunden för Smudge-växten, Smudge-hunden och andra "Smudge"-produkter.
Jag tänkte: "Varför inte förvandla en nödvändighet till ett accessoar?"

Detta är rekommenderade riktlinjer för hur man rengör rengöringsdukar av mikrofiber.
Om du har en ömtålig väska med dragkedja rekommenderar jag att du lägger dina Smudge Dogs och Smudge Plants i en ömtålig vävspåse om du ska tvätta dina plagg i tvättmaskinen.
Instruktioner för tvättning hemma:
1. Tvätta i varmt vatten med milt tvättmedel
2. Inga sköljmedel – de täpper till de öppna utrymmena i mikrofibern, vilket gör tyget oanvändbart
3. Var försiktig med vad du tvättar med din mikrofiber. Undvik allt som är tillverkat av bomull eftersom mikrofibern fastnar i luddet.
4. Tvätta helst mikrofiber med endast mikrofiber, men om du måste blanda tvättar, tvätta med andra luddfria syntetmaterial. Precis som med allt du tvättar, se till att separera din vita eller ljusa mikrofiber från din mörka mikrofiber.
5. Om du handtvättar, tvätta i varmt vatten med milt tvättmedel och använd en mjuk borste om det behövs – skölj noggrant
Torkning av mikrofiber hemma
• För att säkerställa att mikrofibern håller längst är det bäst att lufttorka
• Mikrofiber torkar relativt snabbt
• Om du använder en torktumlare, ställ den på låg värme eller ingen värme
• Torka endast med andra mikrofiberprodukter så att det inte samlar upp extra ludd

How To Care For Your Smudge Dogs and Smudge Plants:
These are recommended guidelines on how to clean microfiber cleaning cloths.
If you have a “delicates” zippered bag, I recommend, if you are going to put your items in the washing machine, placing your Smudge Dogs and Smudge Plants in a delicates bag.
Instructions for Washing at Home:
1. Wash in warm or hot water with mild detergent
2. No fabric softeners – they clog the open spaces in the microfiber, making the fabric useless
3. Be careful what you wash with your microfiber. Avoid anything made with cotton because the microfiber will grab on to the lint
4. Ideally wash microfiber with only microfiber but if you must mix loads, wash with other non-linting synthetics. Like anything you wash, be sure to separate your white or light colored microfiber from your dark colored microfiber.
5. If you hand wash, wash in hot water with mild detergent and use a soft bristled brush if necessary – rinse thoroughly
Drying Microfiber at Home
• To ensure the longest lasting microfiber, air dry is best
• Microfiber dries relatively quickly
• If you use a dryer, set it on low heat or no heat
• Dry with other microfiber products only so that it doesn’t pick up extra lint
