My name is Amy, and sewing is my passion. I started sewing as a young girl, helping my mom trim threads and press seams. I loved it, and soon learned to create Barbie clothes on my mom's 1970s Husqvarna Viking machine. My mom was a wonderful teacher. The rest is history!
Today (fast forward 30-ish years), I enjoy sewing all kinds of items. I love the challenge of sewing something new, as well as the rhythm of sewing items I've made many times before. You will find lots of zipper pouches, handbags, and wallets in my shop, as they are my favorite to make. But I also sew things inspired by my boys, such as colored pencil rolls and water bottle holders.
I enjoy the creativity in producing one of a kind items, and I hope you find something you love. I do custom orders...just send me a message, and we can make something uniquely yours, or in a quantity that you need.
Thank you for shopping at SnickyB Handmade.

5 out of 5 starsThis is my favorite wallet that I've had in a long time. I bought it to replace my previous wallet which was one of those accordion-style bricks for 2 reasons: 1) with that wallet, I had easy access to all my cards at all times which allowed me to spend more money, whereas this wallet ensures I keep only the necessities close at hand, and 2) my old wallet took up ⅓ of my (smallish) purse, whereas this one is slim and I don't have to rearrange my purse to fit it. An additional perk is the large pouch which enables me to carry around a substantial amount of change, which I couldn't do at all with my previous one. The fabric is robust, the seams and zippers feel sturdy, and I get lots of compliments on the sugar skull design (I live in the Old Pueblo).

Frequently asked questions
Can I Scotchgard my purchase?
Yes! If it's a fabric purse or item, please do! It will go a long way to protecting the fabric and keeping the bag clean. Most items in my shop are interfaced with various (and multiple) interfacings, which may wrinkle if washed in a washing machine. I take care to apply Scotchgard to my personal bags, and it really does make a difference (not that I've spilled coffee on my bag or anything...)!
Why can't I machine wash my purchase?
Well, you can, technically. It's just that most items are interfaced with sewn in and/or fusible interfacings, and these interfacings may wrinkle in a washing machine. The wrinkles can be pressed out most of the time, but sometimes a stubborn wrinkle persists. I recommend spot cleaning for most situations, and applying a fabric protector, like Scotchgard, will really go a long way in keeping a fabric item clean.
