About

SoapArt: Handmade Art from the Heart

SoapArt is a small business that I run from my home in Iowa. I am blessed to get help from friends and family as needed. My mission is to provide quality products at excellent prices.

I publish a blog about soap and life.
You can read the SoapArt blog here:
http://www.SoapArtOnline.blogspot.com

You can watch me make soap on YouTube at
http://www.youtube.com/user/soapartonline/videos

I am involved in the product from the inception, design, and creation to the packaging, marketing and delivery.

I started making soap because my sister was looking for someone to make soap for her to sell in her art studio. I decided to give it a try, and was instantly hooked. I love the entire process of making soap. It's a rewarding combination of chemistry and creativity.

My favorite soap to make is soap from scratch. I use the cold process method. I love color and fragrance. The glycerin soap crafting is also a wonderful creative outlet. There are so many design possibilities with glycerin base, also known as melt and pour.

I also enjoy making lip balms, and have over 100 flavors. Lotion bars are solid lotion without any water added. They are truly a delight for your skin, and come in many fragrances and colors. I also make lotion bars with essential oils. A very special one is made with essential oils that bugs hate!

There are many other products that I make, including sugar lip scrubs, sugar body scrubs, and shea body butter to name a few.

SoapArt also has a line of wax products including wax melts, tea lights, votives, pillar candles and container candles.

I am continually adding products and product designs to my line. I have way too many fragrances and flavors, drawers full of cosmetic colors, and a hefty collection of soap molds.

I love what I do, and I hope it shows in the final products that find their way to my customers.
