Such a beautiful dress; thank you!
Oh, 3748 North Elston Avenue, Let Me Sing Thy Praises
Back in my high school days, I used to frequent a lil' event called "Half-Price Mondays" at Unique Thrift Store on Elston Avenue. The result of which, every time, was two rather large bags of 60s maxis, circle skirts, and 50s shirt dresses. When my closet began to resemble a paisley mudslide, I realized the time had come to shove my lace minis out of the nest, where they would hopefully fly into the outstretched, bangled arms of boho babes from Tulsa.
AND THUS, SECOND SHIFT VINTAGE WAS BORN.
So -get this- it is now my job to be a full-blooded vintage hound. Every week I go bin-diving, rack-combing, and closet-spelunking to bring you the lovely, the hip, and the kitsch.
Now, despite being a generally ridiculous sort of person, I care deeply about Ma Earth- just ask anyone in my household who has ever thrown away tin foil. As such, my shop strives to be eco-lovey: I use recycled tissue paper and shipping envelopes, and reuse packaging whenever possible. Aww, she's got a heart, after all.
While I'm waiting for my Lifetime Movie offer, I shall continue to heroically replace your tired-prints, your poor-ly fitting pants, your muddled dresses yearning to be freed from your wardrobe...
Around the web
Honest-to-goodness average outfit in high school: June Cleaver dress, All-Stars, 60s bowling ball bag, Smirk. Folks, I ask you, did I have any choice but to sell vintage threads?!
The Second Shift is a vintage shop which promotes a happy earth by selling secondhand threads & accessories, and using environmentally responsible packaging, like recycled tissue paper & shipping envelopes.
Do Kermit proud and have a looksie!

Items are listed as shipping within 3-5 days due to my travel for work- I don't want to give false hope to those waiting for their 1950s rainbow petticoats! Most of the time, items ship out much faster.
If I do not offer shipping to your country, please send me a message & I'll see what I can do!
Refunds and Exchanges
Generally, returns are only accepted if item is not as described, but please contact me if you are unsatisfied for any reason, and we can work it out (just like that song). If you would like to return an item that was accurately described, I ask that you pay all shipping charges.
If I was temporarily blind while I listed your item, and it manages not to be as I described it, you can get a partial refund and keep the item, or return the item and get a full refund, including shipping costs.
If an item is damaged upon arrival, and you'd still like to keep it, I can issue a partial refund that we both agree upon. If you'd like to send it back, you will receive a full refund, including shipping costs.
If an item never arrives, you will receive a full refund, including shipping costs.
