Making quilts that have a story and contibute to stories.

The most beautiful quilts have stories attached to them.

My own baby blanket -- yes, the kind that trailed behind me into my toddler years and stayed close by even when I went to school -- was a handmade gift from one of my mother's friends.

I want to create the same kinds of quilts for others -- quilts that don't necessarily create a story, but quilts that certainly collect stories to be passed along in each of their stitches.

To start the process, each quilt that I make comes with a story about its creation. Maybe there is something interesting about the fabric selection or the audiobook I listened to while making the quilt. Maybe I'll tell you a little about the lovely pattern designer, but whatever the story is, you'll know the quilt was crafted with care and is unique in its own way.

And, I'll enjoy thinking about how the quilt is on it's way to you. The story I send with it is only the beginning.

Furthermore, your purchase of a quilt (or quilted item) will contribute to someone else's story. A portion of the profits from the quilts will be donated to entrepreneurs in developing countries who need small business loans to help them with the next chapter of their stories.

      Owner, Maker

I teach English by day, and quilt by night and summers. I like producing products that are meant to be more than owned. They are designed to be treasured; they come with a story, and I hope they become part of the story of those who buy them.

Hello! I've taken up quilting as a hobby and a break from grading papers since I'm an English teacher by day and a quilter whenever I can steal time away from my schedule to do so.

Look around. Contact me with questions if you have them.
