Maravillosa artista y preciosos sombreros. El artículo me llegó en seguida y perfecto estado. Me envió una cinta del pelo de regalo preciosa. Ya he comprado varios artículos, hasta algún turbante postquimio para regalar y fenomenal. Lo recomiendo cien por cien.

About

From Mathematics to Tailoring

Hi, I'm Ester. I come from a family that, because of the male branch, has all dedicated themselves to fashion: my great-grandfather was a tailor, my grandfather was also a tailor and my father was a clothing manufacturer. As it usually happens, I was quickly taken off the idea of studying fashion design, which was my initial illusion, and instead I studied Mathematics. I graduated in Mathematics at UAM and worked in several computer consulting companies.

After years I realized that I needed to leave all that and give a twist to my life, it would be the beginning of several twists, which have led me to discover very different and exciting places, and to meet wonderful people. I studied for yoga teacher obtaining the title of AIPYS (International Association of Yoga Teachers Sananda) back in 2003, I began to give classes and set up my own tea shop, which I kept for a few years.

Later I decided to travel and live in more places, which was another one of my dreams. When I left Madrid, the spine of fashion continued to bite me, so I began to design hats and turbans and sell them at fairs. While living in Barcelona and the Basque Country, I took the opportunity to study different courses at the Escola Massana with Nina Pavlovsky, and in San Sebastián with Asun Domínguez.

Something that began as a punctual work has become my way of life the last 10 years, along with yoga classes.
With the Sombrerera I like to create my own style of hats and turbans, flattering at the same time as comfortable and practical, focusing especially on women. Although it has been hard at times, I am very grateful for all the experiences this work has brought me, and the people I have met, and I hope to continue to create in some sense for the rest of my life!
