Hey there!
My name is Krissy Johnson and I am the Maker at SotaGirl Customs. I have always had a passion for creating unique & personalized gifts for my loved ones. That moment when their face lights up & they say "you made this?!" - never gets old!

My passion for creating goes all the way back to my youth as a child. To be completely honest with you, my dream was really never to start my own business but I have always had the feeling that I was meant for something more in my existence. Something more than just being a mother & a wife, because surely enough having kids & getting married were the first milestone markers as an adult but what's next once you have achieved these milestones & then again, who really knows what your truest self dream is until you have achieved "life's milestones" in a sense. I found myself bored, needing a sense of something "more", something more fulfilling to my true self. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore being a wife to my amazing husband & a mother to my incredible children, but they aren't babies anymore (unfortunately haha) & they don't care to hang out with ol' mom as much anymore. I ended up buying a Cricut machine a few years ago, fell in love with it - crafting, creating, making all the things I could possibly do with it, being able to grant my son's every wish of whatever he wanted made was a real boost to my confidence if it's cool enough for my cool son! Haha. My collection of crafting supplies has grown into every crevasse of the house (hehe oops), grown so much to the point where that little Cricut machine has grown into an extraordinary C02 laser machine in my home. THIS IS MY CALLING. I knew it from the minute I could see what could be done with one of these & I HAD TO HAVE ONE! I almost gave up on this dream once I felt defeated & couldn't afford one. However, it was the strangest thing - once I was about to give up & just thought when the time is right, it will happen. The opportunity came knocking on my door & I was not going to let that pass! I knew what I could do with this! The gifts I can make, the purpose in life this can, does & will give me & my family; the lives I can change - well, eventually! I have to start small so I can work up to these large goals of blessing others with my very own hands....how rewarding! I have been very blessed & received an abundance of help in my lifetime in the strangest moments in my past in my darkest moments. Ask me about it sometime! I have a story to share & a lot to give back to this world. I am here to make a difference through my hands, my work and through the Lord working through me to bless others. My business is led by my faith, I never thought I would be a business woman, but turns out - this is God's plan for me & I just know this from the deepest part of my soul to be true. But don't get me wrong, I'm a half hood/half holy kinda gal ;) haha. I enjoy having fun in life but also living by the Golden Rule, but certainly not a saint but all we can do is try to do our best & show up every day! My next goal is to someday be able to do this full time and that wouldn't be possible without you all out there! So, I want to personally thank you for stopping by my shop today & I am quite honored if you have made it this far reading my story!
