Announcement   Soul House Decor grew out of a desire to see diverse representations of various African cultures as home accents. Oh boy, did that idea flop! But here we are again, with the same mission. You will notice that there are earrings and necklaces and Greek wares (beening phased out). We know that some of our customers want to look good in public as well as have a beautifully decorated home.

The common thread in all of my work is wood. I have loved woodworking since creating bowls on a lathe in my high school shop class. Afrocentric symbols are the primary themes depicted in my work. From paintings to wall plaques to mosaics...beauty is key.

About

Where talent met the need.

Wow, where do I start? I started woodworking back in junior high school. I made a duck shaped napkin holder. Then in high school, I turned two bowls. Loved it.

Midway through college, I pledged a small fraternity. Smaller organizations coud not just go to the store and find their paraphernalia. That's when my talent turned into some extra change. I began to make paddles and desk plaques.

"Soul House Decor" would develop some 15 years later while doing a video shoot. By this time, I was doing more Egyptian and Adinkra symbols on home decor pieces, primarily plaques. It was during this time that I was introduced to Etsy.

Fast forward to 2015, I now make wearable art. Tikis, earrings, lapel pins, and bracelets are the usual.
