As a mother and a wife, sleep is just a dream.
I am the mother to an amazing 11 year old daughter (Wee Bug), a crazy cakes 7 year old son (Moose), and wife to an awesome husband. This is code for I do not sleep. Seriously, I’ve always tended to be a bit of a night owl, but since having the kids, it’s been taken to the extreme- hence, I’ve named my shop Sound Awake At Midnight. My son is pretty sure sleep is for the weak, so I count myself lucky if I can make it through most of the week on under 4 hours of sleep per night (Awesome Husband lets me go into zombie mode and runs interference with my banshees at least one weekend day so I can recharge). Anyway, since I’m usually up at ridiculous hours of the night getting Moose back to sleep, and if I fall asleep in the rocking chair, my neck goes out, I try really hard to stay awake until I can go back to my nighttime nap. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited and Pinterest!!
Sound Awake At Midnight is my outlet to whatever kick has struck my current fancy. I started making baby mobiles when my sister was pregnant with my niece, and I simply don’t have enough ceiling space for all the different things I want to try, so thank goodness for my shop! While my craft supplies used to be well confined to the lower half of the bathroom cupboard, they’ve somehow exploded to the entire linen cupboard, under my bed, the corner of the kitchen peninsula, and book case/buffet in the dining room. Awesome Husband, Wee Bug, and Moose have all been amazingly supportive and I can never express to them how thankful I am to have them in my corner! I’ll be honest, I’m still learning as I go, but if you have any questions, I am very excited to talk to you! Thank you for the interest in my shop!
