About

Southern. Pressed Flower Art. Handmade with Love.

I was born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina. I grew up collecting flowers from my Grandmama's garden (my great-grandmother) and my Nani's garden (my grandmother). They passed their love of flowers to me. Their gardens were always filled with roses, daffodils, irises and more! Some of my favorite flowers are wild flowers because of their color, resilience, and simplicity.

As a little girl, I remember pressing flowers into old books. I married my best friend in May 2016 and I decided to press my wedding bouquet. After the flowers were pressed, I designed a monogrammed piece of art. I was hooked after that and made more designs out of all of the wildflowers from our wedding. I gave several away to my family members as gifts. My friends and family loved them and that is how Southern Bloom Press was created.

I put a lot of love into each pressed flower art piece. Pressed flower art is a wonderful way to preserve memories. They make great gifts for your loved ones. I also make custom pieces upon request. I've created custom pieces from wedding flowers, as well as monogrammed designs to include a loved one's favorite flowers.

I'm constantly learning and trying out new designs. My favorite thing to do is go by the flower shops in Charleston on Saturday morning to pick out my next batch of flowers to be pressed! The process of pressing flowers is very relaxing to me and requires patience. Waiting weeks to look at the pressed flowers is torture, but it is so exciting and worth the wait when you can finally open the press and see the beautiful magic that occurs in preserving flowers!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Yes, we do custom and personalized orders! Example of custom order: vintage sheet music (wedding song) and favorite flowers. Another example would be a title page of someone's favorite book and their favorite flower. Have a favorite flower? Let us know and we will try our best to make it happen. It really depends on what we have already pressed, what's in season and what is available. We love to work with customers on creating that extra special design for someone special in their lives! First step is working with client on requests for their design. Flowers are then pressed for 2-6 weeks depending on size, type of flower and season. A draft of the design is created & photos are emailed to the client. Once approved, final design is created.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Free gift wrapping is included! Just leave a note during checkout. Everyone loves opening up a present, even it is just for yourself! :)

Shipping

If the cost of shipping your order is less than the estimate, you will be refunded the overage. We try our best to estimate shipping costs.
