It is paler in color than it looked on my monitor, (which is great for color) and has a touch of green in it, where the photos all show a true blue, so looks more like a blue topaz colorwise, even in direct sunlight, but it's a beautiful stone, well set, and at a good price, even for synthetic spinel. The one I received will be perfect for our granddaughter, who loves blue-green/green-blue.
