Soy ilustradora y vivo en el valle del Hudson, Nueva York, aunque soy originaria de Carolina del Sur. Crecí en una casa rosa brillante, llena de alfombras persas que mi padre traía de sus viajes a Irán, obras de arte que mi madre coleccionaba de sus amigos de la comunidad y el estilo único que ella tenía. Ver tanto color y belleza fue fundamental en mi infancia y me ha inspirado a crear arte para mi bebé y los niños de mi comunidad. ¡Gracias por permitirme formar parte de la historia visual de su hogar!
I'm an illustrator living in the Hudson Valley of New York by way of South Carolina. I grew up in a bright pink house filled with Persian rugs my dad brought back from his visits home to Iran, art my mother collected from friends in her community, and my mom's bold sense of design that made the house unlike any other. Seeing so much color and beauty was so formative for me as a young child, and has inspired me to create art for my little one and the kids in my community.
