I'd use these Eterna pieces as serve ware for a buffet or smorgasbord. Can see guests using them to select shrimp, cold cuts, cheese slices, marinated cucumber disks, gerkins, and the like?
1970s Metal Art Sculpture.....so classy!
Sculptural teak pepper mills by Dansk are highly collectable......there are quite a number of different shapes to look for.

About

Color, Light, Texture and Antiquity

I love color and light and warmth. And stuff.....pretty stuff. Especially if it has brilliant illuminated color. It makes me feel cheerful and warm and cozy.

My favorite word is antiquity. It seems predictable and stable. I like how Indiana Jones says he works in 'antiquities'.

It seems that using antiquarian methods to produce something encompasses warmth and caring. That the effort it took to make or do something was, and is, important. I like the notion of writers clacking-out their next novel on a typewriter. I like remembering how grandmother used a paring knife to scrape the thin skins off of the carrots she harvested from her garden. A salad tastes better when I watch some body rinse a head of crisp lettuce under the tap and pat it dry with a cotton kitchen towel.

Sometimes I'd like to be Mrs. Tiggywinkle. She's Beatrix Potter's little hedgehog washer woman character. I'd hole-up in my steamy little hobbit-hole like house in the side of a grassy hill, ironing beautifully colored and patterned fabrics and crisp white linens with the warm spring sun streaming through the spotless windows of my brilliant white kitchen.

In reality, I love bringing home spectacular finds of glass and crockery. The glass warms my hands as I wash it squeaky-clean in hot soapy water. It leads me to want to create beautiful new items from familiar and friendly old objects. I create with the colors and textures I love, and set it in a sunlit garden or windowsill. Then, I consider it over a frothy mug of morning chai tea.

I hope that sounds warm and cozy to you too. I'm happy to help spread around pretty stuff.

Frequently asked questions

How do you identify condition of items you sell?

I carefully inspect items prior to listing and will describe any visible defects or flaws. Normal wear is to be expected and is not considered a defect.

The following language is used to describe the condition of items in the shop:

* Excellent or Like New: item has very minimal signs of use or wear.

* Very Good: item has light signs of use or wear.

* Good Vintage Condition: item shows signs of use and wear typical for its age.

* Well Used: item has significant flaws but none-the-less has practical or aesthetic value.

Your shipping prices seem high. Are you sure they're correct?

It is always a good policy to double-check with me. Sometimes I make a mistake when providing the package weight and size to the Etsy shipping application. I appreciate it when shoppers point out my mistake.

I live in Washington state in the United State. If you live in the western U.S., the shipping costs will seem reasonable. If you live in the eastern U.S. or overseas, the prices can seem shocking. Shipping costs can almost double when I ship to Florida or New York as opposed to Los Angeles.

To reduce shipping costs of large heavy objects, ask me for a shipping quote for USPS Parcel Select ground services. Alternatively, try to find a seller that lives closer to you so that shipping will be less.

Do you combine shipping charges if I purchase more than 1 item?

Yes. I promptly refund shipping overages to your payment account if I can safely ship multiple items together in one package. Alternatively, you can send me a convo to ask for a shipping quote for multiple items.

Do you refund payment for damaged items?

Yes, your purchases are insured.

Items damaged in transit, including shipping charges, will be refunded after you provide the necessary information for filing the claim.

Please document damage to packaging, packing materials, and goods via photographs. Hold on to these items until the claim has been resolved.

Once the claim has been processed, I will reimburse your payment account.

To receive reimbursement shipped via USPS Priority Mail more quickly, you may file the claim yourself. Submit a claim using the USPS.com website. Find the "Help" section in the upper right-hand side of the screen. Then use the pull-down menu to select 'File a Claim'. If your item was shipped via USPS Parcel Select, I need to file the claim for you.
