Southern and Sparkly

Hi! I'm Jennifer, creator, owner, and chic-in-charge of Sparkled Whimsy. I studied Business Administration at Catawba College in North Carolina and began my adult life in the corporate world.

I am inspired by all things southern, bright and colorful - and of course sparkles look great on everything. I thoroughly enjoy the relationships I have with my customers. I am flattered (and a little surprised) every time my iPhone dings with that cash register sound that tells me an item has sold.

All of that being said, I stay REALLY busy with Sparkled Whimsy. So in an effort to make sure my husband doesn't forget what I look like NOT covered in paint, Sparkled Whimsy does close periodically so I can get caught up and have a normal life for a couple of days. These days are communicated on the shop announcements.

Returns and exchange details
Orders begin the production process as soon as they are received. If I have a question about your order, I will send you an Etsy conversation. If no response is received within 24 hours, I will prepare the item(s) using my best judgment.

If there is a problem with your item, please notify me within 24 hours of receipt of the order. If an item is defective, I will request verification of the defect via photo. Errors or mistakes made on items {by Sparkled Whimsy} will be sent a replacement at no charge to the customer.

I will accept returns and/or exchanges of non-personalized items for the purchase price less shipping costs. The item must be returned in new and unused condition, in its original packaging, bubble wrap and box. The refund will be provided upon the return of merchandise. There will be a $10 restocking fee for all items receiving free shipping at purchase. Sparkled Whimsy is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.

We cannot be responsible for replacing your order if the wrong address or personalization was given to us.
I prefer Paypal or credit card.
Most items are shipped USPS with tracking ID provided at time of shipment. You will receive an email notification when your order is shipped.

Normal turnaround time is 2-3 weeks. If you need your order by a certain date, please send me a convo prior to placing your order to ensure I can meet your requirements.

If you are local to the Salisbury/Concord area, use the coupon code LOCALPICKUP for 15% off your order. I will send you a convo to arrange pickup.

In order to keep our shipping prices low, we ship our signs flat. If you prefer your sign to be shipped in a standard box, please convo me to add the additional shipping charges, prior to placing the order.

Be sure to provide the correct shipping address. Sparkled Whimsy is not responsible for packages not received if the wrong address is provided.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are handmade, so there may be slight differences in the picture and the item you receive. There may also be imperfections and inconsistencies in our signs. This is the nature of working with paint and wood and adds to the whimsical character of the product. :) 

All communication regarding orders and questions should be directed through the Etsy conversation system. We make every effort to answer all communications within 24 hours.

Materials are subject to availability. We reserve the right to use comparable embellishments on our signs (i.e. Ribbon, Gems, etc) 

We reserve the right to use pictures of custom items as advertisement for our shop.

Care instructions

All signs are sealed with a clear coat, to prevent scratching and fading.

What hardware is included to allow the sign to hang?

Depending on the size, the sign may include ribbon or wire on the back to allow the sign to hang from the door. If you have a preference, please include that in the NOTES TO SELLER. As a general rule, the smaller signs hang by ribbon - larger signs hang with wire for stability.

Brush Strokes

I paint each and every sign by hand. I do not use stencils or vinyl, so you will see brush strokes on the finished product. It adds to the character of each sign and details how much love is added along the way. :)

Turnaround Time

We typically work on a 2-3 week turnaround from the date of the order. However, holiday items may ship sooner, so please check each listing for the turnaround time. All items are shipped Priority Mail which is 2-3 day transit time.

I live close to Salisbury NC and would like to pIckup my order instead of having it shipped. Is this possible?
