About

Practical Functional Art for the everyday!

Over the years, I have had many varied interests. As one could see from my shop history, I used to sell vintage clothing as well as fascinators, aprons made from vintage materials and a few other things. More recently, I've had my love for creating beautiful, functional art pieces in the form of pottery re-ignited.

I first learned about wheel throwing when I learned from an amazing local artist in high school. I took a few years off from that, but am now hard back at it throwing anything I can think of!

Check out my Facebook page for up to date details on local shows in the southern Saskatchewan area!

Sparrow Gardens believes that beauty should be a part of your daily routine. Functional, handmade pottery is a wonderfully accessible way to make this happen! I am a one woman operation and love having the opprotunity to make my creative outlet into a business! The majority of my work is wheel thrown, but I occasionally will hand build to mix things up.

Unless otherwise marked, all pottery is food safe, microwave safe and can be used in the oven up to 400F. Pottery is almost never stove top safe so please don't try it there! My pottery is also dishwasher safe, but to extend the length of your vessel please load and unload with care and attention (or hand wash for best long term results).

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment
Paypal is preferred as it is the fastest form of payment. Payment must be received within 48 hours of purchase in order to process shipping.

If I do not receive payment within that period I will re-list the item (unless we have already discussed this issue prior to you buying it).

If you do not have access to PayPal, email me and we can correspond about alternative options.

If you live in my immediate area, cash is acceptable at pick up or delivery.

All custom orders must be paid in full prior to creation.

I am happy to do custom, wholesale and gallery orders, but I do require payment in full as well as a 15% additional fee.
Shipping
All Items are shipped via Canada Post regular mail within 2-3 business days after payment is received. I ship to the address listed on your Paypal account unless you tell me otherwise. If your address in Paypal is different from where you want your items sent, please email me so that it gets shipped to the correct address. Fees from Canada Post vary greatly from fees from the USPS, but I have done as much as I can to keep costs as reasonable as possible!

If custom ordering please allow six to eight weeks for production.

If you would like an item expedited please email me and I can look into additional costs for priority mail.

I will send you a confirmation email once the item has been shipped. I keep all shipping receipts in case of a dispute.

Please note that shipping charges can not be refunded as they cover the cost for: preparation, materials for packing, the box, and the freight charge.

I make every effort to ship items in a well packed, manner marked with fragile as pottery doesn't like to be jostled and bumped.

Because I try to be as earth friendly as possible while keeping your shipping fees as low as possible, don't be surprised by the creative use of the wrapping and boxing of your purchase! The trees thank you!

I do offer international shipping but those outside of Canada must be responsible for custom fees, and if applicable, the buyer may need to pay higher shipping fees. Please contact me first prior to buying to let me know if you are from somewhere other than North America. Sparrow Gardens is also not responsible for any other duties, customs or other fees the buyer may incur upon delivery.

If you live in my immediate area (Saskatchewan), and would like to arrange pick up or delivery, please message me prior to purchase and I will waive the shipping charge when I put the item on hold for you.
Refunds and Exchanges
I have done my best to provide accurate, detailed pictures of all of my products along with as much written detail as possible. Please email me with any questions or concerns before you make a purchase to avoid dissatisfaction with an item.

Sets and custom orders will be made to match, but there may be small variations from piece to piece as, again, every piece is uniquely and lovingly handmade.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the product, exchanges will not be made as return shipping can sometimes be precarious.

Refunds will not be issued unless the piece is completely damaged during shipping. Please see my shipping section for more information or feel free to contact me! I pack my pieces well, but occasionally pieces may have some damage - if this happens, please send me a picture of the box, and of the pieces themselves. I am happy to review everything and, as my packages are insured, I will refund you and pass the fee back on to the post office.
Additional policies and FAQs
As your parents probably told you when you were younger, people are like snowflakes - all different and unique. The same most definitely applies to pottery! Every piece will have unique markings, unique shapes and will be a truly one of a kind piece. Colours may vary *slightly* from what you see in the picture, but I make every effort to be as descriptive as possible so you are aware of what you are getting!

Custom orders must be paid in full prior upon order, and will need between 6-8 weeks for production.
