Leather Thickness is measured by oz. Typically 1-9 oz. To think of leather weights in terms of thickness 1oz. = 1/64", 2oz. = 2/64", 7oz. - 8oz. = 7/64" - 8/64" or 1/8" thick. Because the thickness of the hide varies depending on where it is on the animal there will always be a "range" of thickness noted such as 2-3oz.

The weight or thickness of leather does not speak to the pliability of the leather.

Order Changes Policy

Once you have placed your order, you will have 48 hours thereafter to make changes that include stitching and elastic colors, and distressing.

Once this deadline has passed, we can no longer make changes to your order. This will help us move orders along as quickly as possible and keep our production schedule on track.

Add-ons cannot be added after an order has been placed. TN sizes can not be changed after an order has been placed.

Damaged/Lost Packages

All packages currently go out via USPS Priority Shipping which includes tracking information.

All orders are packaged with care and as such, Speckled Fawns is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit by USPS. Should your package arrive damaged, please contact your local USPS branch and speak to a supervisor.

For International Shoppers: Speckled Fawns is not responsible for any duties or customs fees on International orders and they remain the sole responsibility of the buyer. We are also not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Order Cancellations

We are no longer accepting order cancellations as of January 1, 2017.

Cancellations requested due to customer error greatly disrupt our production schedule and as such, we can no longer make any exceptions.

Once an order is placed, we will only cancel/refund under the following circumstances:

-if we run out of the leather required to complete your order
-if there is an error on our end with regard to your order

Should you have any questions or doubts about an item, please contact us first BEFORE placing your order.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Returns & exchanges are handled on a case by case basis.

Should there be an issue with your order once you receive it, please contact us right away. If there was an oversight with quality, we ask that you send us a detailed message and include photos.*

We will gladly refund Etsy shipping charges on returns if there was an oversight on our part and we will remake your order. We aim to process and complete returns in 1-2 weeks.

If we cannot remake your order, due to lack of stock, we will refund you in full.**

*We ask that you fully research our leathers/ask all questions before purchasing. We cannot process returns solely based on personal taste (i.e. did not like leather)

**We will only process a refund if we cannot remake your order.
