Absolutely positively love the spindle. The wood turning really shows off the grain of the wood. The “spin” and the weight is absolutely perfect I highly recommend getting the batt as it’s a nice demo of the spinning capabilities. Super nice seller it’s always a plus.

Though I’m a novice to spinning, I can tell already that this is a truly well-crafted drop spindle. A few rounds of spin-and-park (just with a leader, sans drafting so far), and the spindle feels super well-balanced, with easy action and a smooth, effortless spin. The BFL wool that came with my kit is a gorgeous, vibrant shade of purple. Susan is lovely to work with, and this kit is everything I’d hoped for and then some! Fantastic!!!

This spindle is just beautiful, and spins forever.

This was a worth a try purchase without huge expectations but I am soooo happy. I have 2 wheels, the string drive band I had on my Lendrum Saxony was actually a little longer than this one but since the band is supposed to be shorter than that length it was still plenty. My Kromski Minstrel tended to be a bit picky about band tension vs. take up (brake tension) but now it’s not! I assume these bands will last longer than string but I don’t even care, also easy to change whorl size. Thank you!!
