Meu marido Joe e eu nos mudamos para nossa casa de campo nas Montanhas Rochosas de Utah há 8 anos. Nós criamos "a vida simples" aqui em Spring City. Mas não pense por um momento que é "a vida fácil", restaurando duas cabanas de madeira do final de 1800 e criando uma casa e estilo de vida a partir de dias passados. Família, jardinagem, acolchoamento, passeio de mula, caminhadas, bicicleta e resgate de animais são algumas das prioridades que mantêm as coisas reais.
Temos 8 filhos e 17 netos com 1 a caminho!
Com nossa família em mente, trabalhamos duro para criar o rancho Walking 7, recriando uma atmosfera única que é definida por um tempo passado. Quando eles vêm para o rancho eles deixam a cidade para trás, como ajudar com o trabalho no jardim, passeios de mula e coletar ovos.
Com o nascimento de cada neto eu queria fazer algo que fosse feito à mão por mim, único, e completamente único. Vivemos em um mundo onde tantas coisas estão prontamente disponíveis, mas poucas são relíquias.
Eu tentei muitos presentes de bebê no início, procurando por algo que seria útil e único.
E então você tem o nosso cobertor de flanela enfeitiçado. Você cria o produto acabado com a borda de crochê. Cada um é um trabalho de amor que será usado e apreciado, um símbolo de amor por esses pequenos!
My husband Joe and I moved to our country home in the Rocky Mountains of Utah 8 years ago. We have created "the simple life" here in Spring City. But don't think for a moment it's "the easy life", restoring two log cabins from the late 1800's and crafting a home and lifestyle from days gone by. Family, gardening, quilting, mule riding, hiking, biking, and animal rescue are a few of the priorities that keep things real.
We have 8 children and 17 grandchildren with 1 on the way!
With our family in mind we have worked hard to create the Walking 7 ranch, recreating a unique atmosphere that is defined by a time gone by. When they come to the ranch they leave the city behind, such as helping with work in the garden, mule rides and gathering eggs.
With the birth of each grandchild I wanted to make something that was handmade by me, one of a kind, and completely unique. We live in a world where so many things are readily available but few are heirlooms.
I tried lots of baby gifts in the beginning, looking for something that would be useful and unique.
And so you have our hemstitched flannel baby blanket. You create the finished product with the crocheted edge. Each and every one is a labor of love that will be used and enjoyed, a token of love for these little ones!
