Mi esposo Joe y yo nos mudamos a nuestra casa de campo en las Montañas Rocosas de Utah hace 8 años. Hemos creado "la vida simple" aquí en Spring City. Pero no pienses por un momento que es "la vida fácil", restaurando dos cabañas de troncos de finales de 1800 y creando un hogar y un estilo de vida de antaño. La familia, la jardinería, el acolchado, la equitación en mula, el senderismo, el ciclismo y el rescate de animales son algunas de las prioridades que mantienen las cosas reales.
¡Tenemos 8 hijos y 17 nietos con 1 en camino!
Con nuestra familia en mente, hemos trabajado arduamente para crear el rancho Walking 7, recreando una atmósfera única que se define por un tiempo pasado. Cuando llegan al rancho dejan atrás la ciudad, como ayudar con el trabajo en el jardín, los paseos en mula y la recolección de huevos.
Con el nacimiento de cada nieto quería hacer algo hecho a mano por mí, único en su tipo y completamente único. Vivimos en un mundo donde muchas cosas están fácilmente disponibles, pero pocas son reliquias.
Probé muchos regalos para bebés al principio, buscando algo que fuera útil y único.

My husband Joe and I moved to our country home in the Rocky Mountains of Utah 8 years ago. We have created "the simple life" here in Spring City. But don't think for a moment it's "the easy life", restoring two log cabins from the late 1800's and crafting a home and lifestyle from days gone by. Family, gardening, quilting, mule riding, hiking, biking, and animal rescue are a few of the priorities that keep things real.
We have 8 children and 17 grandchildren with 1 on the way!
With our family in mind we have worked hard to create the Walking 7 ranch, recreating a unique atmosphere that is defined by a time gone by. When they come to the ranch they leave the city behind, such as helping with work in the garden, mule rides and gathering eggs.
With the birth of each grandchild I wanted to make something that was handmade by me, one of a kind, and completely unique. We live in a world where so many things are readily available but few are heirlooms.
I tried lots of baby gifts in the beginning, looking for something that would be useful and unique.
And so you have our hemstitched flannel baby blanket. You create the finished product with the crocheted edge. Each and every one is a labor of love that will be used and enjoyed, a token of love for these little ones!
