Frequently asked questions

An email said that my order was delivered. Where is it?

Etsy and USPS have automated messages that estimate when orders arrive, these messages are not always accurate.
U.S. Postal carriers regularly scan packages as "delivered," when they haven't actually been delivered yet.
The U.S. Postal Service also regularly misses scanning First Class packages from point-to-point (this is the most affordable shipping option, the standard option with no upgrade).
What I can tell you for sure, is that I very promptly package orders and deliver them directly to a local post office branch, this typically happens within 1 to 12 hours after you place the order. There's no procrastination on my end, and I get it into the hands of USPS as soon as possible because I know that delays are common.

Could you make this sticker a different color, or add a name to it?

No, I cannot. The challenge in providing hand drawn stickers, is that I need to decide on designs that'll likely appeal to a vast audience, and then print a ton of them to get the production cost down (the more that are printed, the lower the cost per unit).
So, creating one single sticker that's different isn't as easy as it might seem. There's also costs and time involved in a simple color change or a design change. Making one custom sticker, and providing it for the same price as every other sticker in my shop, just isn't reasonable.

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes, absolutely. Just send me a message and we'll figure it out. I've been fulfilling wholesale orders since mid-2015, and I've fulfilled over 3000 orders at this point.

Do these stickers work on a car or a water bottle?

Yes, absolutely. The number one reason that I started making stickers, and the reason that I continue to invest in premium quality professionally-printed vinyl stickers, is to ensure that they can last many years on: the bumper or rear windshield of a vehicle, a water bottle, insulated cooler, camping trailer, skateboard, laptop, and basically any flat surface regardless of conditions and climate.
I wouldn't recommend placing them in the path of a windshield wiper or running them through the dishwasher regularly (best to hand wash).

"Free Shipping" actually costs $1.25 and up

In 2026, nothing ships for $1.25 or less. Postage alone is currently at 82 cents. The envelope and the shipping label also add a necessary expense to ship goods. According to these combined expenses, for the most basic First Class Mail, shipping an envelope under 1 ounce is over $1 at this point, and for each additional ounce the price charged by USPS correspondingly increases by 29 cents.
A carrier pigeon might not charge a fee..but it'll likely drop it.
So, please keep in mind that I definitely do not retain much of what these prices reflect (expenses for: shipping and production + Etsy fees for listing, processing payment, and transaction).

My order still says "pre-transit," have you shipped it yet?

Yes, it's probably already shipped.
When I purchase the Etsy shipping label, a message is sent automatically to your email saying something like: "Sprouted Scribbles has shipped your order, and it's on the way!" Then, the order is automatically designated as "pre-transit," until someone at the nearest USPS sorting hub (typically Charlotte, NC) scans it.
Within 1 to 12 hours after I apply the label, that envelope will 100% be at a USPS branch, often in the slot that drops directly into their backroom for immediate sorting.
Here's the tricky part, sometimes the USPS carriers in the backroom scan the envelope appropriately, or stick it into the sorter promptly, other times I have no idea what they're doing back there.

My order doesn't have any shipping updates, could you tell me where it is or send a replacement?

Unfortunately, once it's in the hands of USPS I cannot tell you where it is. It could still be at the branch that I shipped it from, or in a sorting machine, or on a truck or a plane, it's really the primary responsibility of USPS to scan packages and provide shipping updates (that's why we pay them for the service).
I can always provide an estimated delivery timeframe, typically 2 to 8 business days within the United States, however I can only tell you where it is if the carriers are accurately scanning the package from point-to-point.
They follow through and deliver at least 98% of the time I'd say, so usually it's just a matter of patience before it either gets a scan or gets dropped into your mailbox.

Where's my order? It says it was shipped a week ago.

The logic of how the United States Postal Service operates is beyond my comprehension.
First Class Mail, the most cost-effective grade of mail, sometimes takes only 2-3 days to arrive at a destination and other times takes 8-10 days depending upon the mileage travelled.
Another factor to consider is USPS designated holidays, and where a Saturday or Sunday comes into play. Sometimes a local postal service branch might have limited hours on a Saturday, and then be closed on Sunday + Monday for a holiday.
And, for example, mail going from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC (only 70 miles), often goes from Asheville to Charlotte to Gastonia to Greenville..which is clearly not a direct path but has something to do with USPS regional sorting hubs.

What does the sizing in your listings mean?

For most listings, I've indicated whether it's LAPTOP or WATER BOTTLE sized, or VEHICLE SIZED.
LAPTOP or WATER BOTTLE: This is typically a die cut (specifically-shaped) sticker that's between 3 inches to 4 inches at the greatest length. Recommended for: laptop, water bottle, travel mug, Kindle, iPad, phone case, notebook, scrapbook, mailbox, lunchbox, bike helmet, etc.
Side note: sometimes a very simple design, simple lettering, a logo or a circle, can be good on a vehicle.
VEHICLE SIZED: This is a sticker that's typically 4 inches to 5 inches at the greatest length. It's easy for people to see or read if you're sitting in traffic. Recommended for: rear windshield, bumper, tailgate, cooler, boat, RV, camping trailer, travel luggage, etc.

Returns and Exchanges for Print on Demand products

Unfortunately, due to the nature of custom Print on Demand apparel and accessories, I cannot accept returns or process exchanges on these items.
When someone orders a specific size and a specific color of a shirt (for instance), this is by definition a custom product to suit their individual needs.
As much as I'd like to accept a return or do an exchange, there's no way of really knowing when someone else would like that very specific product.
Print on Demand products are created and shipped from nearby Charlotte, North Carolina. The artwork on these products is created by me, however I cannot create these products myself without high-end equipment and a vast inventory of blank apparel and various sizes.
