Care instructions

I recommend washing all of my yarns and finished items by hand. Gently wash these items by hand in cool water and a mild soap, being sure not to twist, wring, or agitate. Rinse in cool water and gently squeeze (no twisting) to remove the majority of water. Roll in a towel to absorb more of the water. Lay item flat on a towel to dry without stretching. Some items may need blocking to return to their original shape.

Why are they called sock yarns?

Yarn that you find in my shop that is labeled as "sock yarn" was made to be socks! I've selected sturdy wools, added fibers that increase strength (like silk, nylon, or mohair), and I've given a little extra twist in the ply to provide strength and also definition in the stitch work. I'm using the term "sock yarn" to describe its characteristics, not its size. Each of my sock yarns is an individual, so please check the gauge I've given in each listing.
