Every year these look at little different. The 2025 group is quite the combination of contrasting shades of pink, purple, red, white, and black.

A diverse mix of fancy looking flowers. The original packet claimed they have 4 sets of DNA instead of 2, which means some of the seedlings and plants are incredibly odd looking. They can reproduce through cuttings as well, so if you end up with a cool one...clone it for a friend!

These do very well started beneath intensely bright grow lights. Start in a 4" pot with a baggie over top until you see the tiny seedlings start. You may need to cover open soil with a clear plastic ramekin to encourage additional germination. I transplant to individual cells once true leaves appear (about the size in the baby picture on this listing). Once the transplant cells have roots emerging from the bottom I transplant again to 2" or larger cells or pots. By this time it is March and windowsills are sunny enough to bear the burden of photon provision. I harden off in April taking the seedlings inside and out, not leaving this type out under 50 degrees at first so they do not pass from shock. By the first week of May I transplant them to a forever home in the garden or planter.
I know it seems like a lot of care instructions, but if I'm charging you this much for only 15+ seeds I feel it should at least equip you with the secret SquirrelRun method. The flowers are absolutely unforgettable and the bragging rights of growing these from seed are worth it.

This kale originated from the seed trade in 2023. In the first grow year ('24), there were a great deal of large, bitter/brassica tasting foliage. Even if this was just for foliage, I could see it adding beautifully to a garden space. It flowered in the second year ('25) and had many soft yellow little blossoms that pollinators were fond of. Seeds are really pretty, multicolor. Once pods dried by July I was again surprised by the size of the seeds; they are a little larger than broccoli seeds. An easy winter sower! There were so many seeds I happily offer them in bulk.

If these seeds hit the ground, germinate, and grow a bit before the frost, they are likely to return the following year to open up and show off. I sow anytime between April and August and get the same results each summer. Usually they make a nice tuber underground and return year after year. Most will not act like biennials as long as they get enough sun and nutrients. This assortment was from seed I collected from a group of hollyhocks that bloomed this summer (all summer). They were started the previous summer and the seeds initially came from stock I had maintained for years.

This packet will be from seed collected from the double peach plant only. Not sure about cross pollination, but its seeds have a unique white color.

Lovely Lavender Mix 40+ Seeds, Perennial (Seed Packet) by SquirrelRunFarm

Flowers splendidly in the Spring through early Summer with a lame bumper bloom in September. Tremendously fragrant and beautiful in bouquets. I re-tested the germination rate for these in December of 2024, and by early January of 2025 I had 90% germination in just 9 days. They are a bit tricky to get going from seed if maintained with too much moisture. I like to start them in a 4'' pot with a perlite layer on top and a baggie covering he entire thing. Once a few germinate I remove the baggie and many, many more follow. I believe the roots of the first few maintain just that perfect low level of moisture that lavender likes. The first year the plants will be very unimpressive, small, and will appear a small twig populated with offshoots that hold leaves close to the main twig. The next year they appear more clump-like, and by year three they are hardy, tolerant, blooming, and consistently returning. The only lavender which returns reliably for me is lavender I have sown myself with the exception of one plant that is kept close to the house.

-Every photograph is mine. They are NEVER manipulated aside from cropping. Photos are taken in either picture or portrait mode on my phone or by one of my farmhands. I do not use filters or change anything. The strains I have can be incredibly vibrant on their own!
