Thank You for taking the time to browse my artwork. If you don't see exactly what you like, yes, I gladly do custom/commissioned artwork!

You could consider me a simple folk artist. My love of art began at a very early age, and as I child I always hoped I would become an artist ... what else could I be? However, that was not the path I took, and pen and brush were put away for almost 50 years.

I recently began to create again - an exercise in emotional expression -- a way of holding onto things from the past -- documenting visions, impressions and dreams from my soul. I could have written a journal, or created an art journal. However, my messages needed to be seen, heard and felt. One morning, I just started to paint -- my mind, body and soul were full of turmoil, stress and desperation. The way some folks doodle mindlessly, I began to draw and paint in the same way - as therapy, as language, as flight into my next level of life.

As the public began to show an interest in my artwork and were willing to pay for it, only then did I remember my true calling, going back to my earliest roots - My grandfather used to paint the squares of our concrete patio of our old house back in Queens. He painted it like a checkerboard, and I was allowed one square to do as I pleased ... I had forgotten that annual ritual.

So, like dance, I lose myself in the joy my art has come to bring to some people. I love color and nature, and I often paint myself into garden settings that resemble my own private space at home. My art is bright and cheerful, but often the subject within will be dark and brooding. I guess I just paint life as I know it now.

I am now 64 - It's never too late to recreate and paint your dreams. It's never too late - My artwork has been seen on CBS' "Criminal Minds," Season 10.
