Driftless Herbalist

Educator + Writer + Herbal Remedy Maker

As an herbalist I work with families to develop wellness through nourishing and dynamic herbal education according to their individual needs.

I love to teach people about plants: how to ID them, how to utilize them and how to make home made remedies.

Valuing nature connection through spending time immersed outdoors harvesting plants as food and medicine is an essential part of my work. I've spent many years learning about plants and honing skills through observing and participating in the workings of the natural world.

I focus on abundant plants and simple process. I want to demystify the art and science of herbalism. Locally sourced raw materials and ethical wildcrafting are central to my ethics. I love to connect and network with other herbalists and radical rewilding folk.

I believe in empowered health while honoring choices and welcome you to co-create with me!

While I don't accept returns, do to the nature of perishable products, please contact me right away if for any reason you have a question or concern with your order. We can work something out!

The Story of "Fireweed Herbal Zine":
In 2007 seeking connection with other radical herbalists, parents and teachers I put a call out for submissions for a cooperative zine. "Fireweed" became a resource for people interested in accessible, down-to-Earth herbalism and wild foods. While much of the content is written by parents, family is and will be always be defined in a broad sense. Even if folks aren't around kids there is a lot of applicable content. The second issue was born after the birth of my second child in 2010.
