These are beautiful, sturdy but lightweight, charmingly decorated bowls. Their shape and size are perfect and they fit together nicely with the flower pattern dinner plates and appetizer plates.

These are beautiful bowls. They are a really nice shape and the perfect size for a generous bowl of soup (what we mainly use them for). I love the flowers painted on each one; I purchased a mix of different flower patterns and they all look good together on the table. They stack easily in the cabinet and fit in the dishwasher. These are great salad or dessert plates. They are described as dinner plates but are the same as the appetizer plates (also $89 and measuring 20cm). I put together a 12 place setting of large dinner plates, appetizer plates and bowls and love them all. You can tell they're made by hand but they're also lighter weight than most handmade pottery. I thought I might be bothered by choosing several different flower patterns and feeling I needed to match the bowls and plates each time I set a table. However, the flowers have a similar delicacy so even they don't match, the different patterns look harmonious together.
