Now for my story!! :)
I've had my full-time online business since 2001.
Prior to my online business I was a nurse in the Podiatry field. I wanted to be home with my son more but knew I had to have an income. Trying to figure out ways to make money from home, I quit my day time job & started selling used clothes purchased from Goodwill onto eBay in 2001. After a couple of years, that grew old & wanted something fresh. That lead to purchasing wholesale costume jewelry & handbags down the road.
In 2011 I ran my first half marathon. I looked on the internet for a piece of personalized jewelry to recognize my accomplishment. After a little research, I decided I wanted to try & make the hand-stamped piece myself. Soon after, that's when I launched my first line of hand-stamped jewelry onto Etsy. After loosing my Dad, I searched for memorial pieces. When I ran across fingerprint jewelry, I realized that I didn't have my Dad's fingerprint & never would. That inspired me to makes such pieces for those that do. That lead to handwriting of loved ones & even paw prints of fur-babies.

**HOW TO SEND ME YOUR PERSONALIZATION**
If you have images/attachments to send, you'll attach them in a message to me a long with your personalization. You may also add your personalization during checkout, or along with your images if you have any.

**DELAY SENDING PERSONALIZATION = DELAYS IN PROCESSING**
If your order falls drastically behind the "ship by date", please note that once I receive your personalization, your order will have to be "worked-in" with my current orders.
If you need the process rushed up, there is a $25 rush fee.

**IMAGE SIZE
If your image, print, nose print, fingerprint, ect needs to be a certain size, you MUST include the millimeter/measurements of that print. If you are expecting it to be a baby print but don't specify mm's, it will be engraved at the resolution in which I receive it in.

**PREVIEWING**
Due to my workload & staying on top of my orders to be fair to everyone, I do not offer a preview before or after engraving due to time restraints. It is very important to specify how you'd like your special piece to be laid out/made. I highly recommend sending over a simple layout of how you would like your design. Then, If I have concerns, I'll send over a recommended proof.
If you must have a preview of your design, I do offer this option with a fee. (see below)

The more back & forth will delay your order by several days.
If your special piece requires a font, the font chart is located in the photo section of my listings. If no font is chosen, it will either match the main sample photo in the listing or I'll use a standard font that works best with your personalization.

PURCHASE PROOF PREVIEWS & REVISIONS HERE:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/StampedByTheHeart?ref=seller-platform-mcnav§ion_id=24916719

Please be sure to include all information necessary to process your order (full instructions is on the items description & small photo boxes) I may not get to look your order over until its up next on my desk. Missing information will delay your order. Attach all images in Etsy messages.

****COMMUNICATING WITH ME****
ALL communications have to be via Etsy conversations 'convos', please do not send me emails because I can't keep track of the information outside Etsy.. Etsy has a great system that links all the communications with your order & it really comes in handy if you are sending me prints or scans. I'm not responsible for special requests sent to my email accounts. You can also click on ATTACH IMAGE (JPG) in the Etsy messaging system from a pc. If you have trouble, its probably because you are using a mobile devise or ipad.

**FINGERPRINT SIZES**
If you need a fingerprint enlarged, this must be specified with your instructions, otherwise the fingerprint will be sized accordingly to the project or download size.
If a fingerprint needs to be close to actual size, then you will need to provide me with the MM (millimeter) of that fingerprint LxW.
Fingerprints will not edited, changed, cut, or any modifications made unless stated in writing by you, the buyer.

**FAQS & Policies Page**
Be sure to read my FAQS & Policies pages. This holds a lot of updated information that may not be on the items description. A lot of new information is always updated on my FAQS & or Policies pages that cant make it to the items description, because its almost impossible to revise hundreds of listings.

**I usually copy/paste personalization from your order instructions. If there are quotation marks, ect...those will be incorporated onto your project, so please only include what needs to be on your special piece.

**SIZING**
Please make sure you choose the correct length.
There is a charge for cutting down, replacing components & shipping & in most cases if you need a chain or bracelet longer, you will have to purchase a new chain or bracelet.

**Sizing/Length on "BAR/PLATE" necklaces
Total length will not include the length of the bar.
Example....if you choose 16" length, the chain will be 8" on each side so the necklace will hang as a 16" necklace should. The bar is horizontal & does not play a factor in the overall length.
If you need to send back for adjustment, please contact me regarding adjustment charge & shipping.

**HALLMARKING**
Hand stamped items & engraved items are NOT hallmarked .925 as the sterling silver is cut from machines in bulk that come from my supplier.

** INTERNATIONAL BUYERS**
"Seller's payment instructions
International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying."

**PREVIEWING**
Due to my workload & staying on top of my orders to be fair to everyone, I do not offer a preview before or after engraving due to time restraints. HAND STAMPED JEWELRY

All of my charms are hand stamped one at a time and no two will look exactly alike. Each letter does not line up perfectly, and this is the intended look and adds to the charm of a hand stamped item.

I use the highest quality materials in making my jewelry.
Each and every disc, necklace, and bracelet is made from .925 sterling silver & .999 pure silver or as stated on the items listing. I use 20g-24g blanks on most project, which is standard for most hand stampers. If you require thicker or thinner, message me before ordering.

Custom made items are not hallmarked 925 on the sterling silver materials. These material are made from raw sterling & handcrafted by me. If you require an item to be hallmarked, please let me know as I can stamp it.
Your custom jewelry will last beautifully for many years to come!

********** I assure the highest quality materials are used with each individual piece. I purchase all of my materials from one major company/supplier that has been around for many many years & very well known to the Etsy seller community.****************

Here is a link below (and details at the bottom of this page) that will go into a little more detail on how to take care of you new silver pieces. There is a wealth of information below & on the web on jewelry care & how to handle tarnish!!
http://suite101.com/article/jewelry-care--silver-tarnish-causes-how-to-prevent-tarnishing-a284544

********************************************************************************************

FINGERPRINT JEWELRY
The fingerprint jewelry that I create is not intended to replace identification information for individuals. Fingerprint jewelry is completely handcrafted, and may have slight differences from the actual print. The finished fingerprint piece will shrink in size from the molded print due to the high temperatures the silver is fired, over 1200 degrees F.

Each print is different and will not look exactly like the example pictures in my listings. Some of the example pictures are of an adult male with a deep print, not everyone's print is that deep, some are lighter and shallower than others, it really just depends on each person. So please expect differences in your finished piece.

Each piece is different and unique on it's own due to the handcrafted nature of my work and each individuals print & all of my customers need to read this and understand thoroughly before purchasing.

Children under the age of 2 may have a very light print and may be difficult to see in a finished jewelry piece. Please be aware of this before purchasing for a child's print as they are NON REFUNDABLE.

Fine silver jewelry is crafted from 99.9% silver and does not tarnish, however with time, may take on an aged sheen. Clean with mild soap and water.

I love working with flexible, understanding and appreciative folks & with the understanding of the uniqueness of the handcrafted & turnaround process. This allows me to pour my heart and soul into each piece that I create. I will create your piece as if it were my own.

There will be absolutely NO cancellations on any orders in which kits have been mailed. This information is private & highly confidential to my studio. All sales are final. Products, materials, shipping & time is involved.

****************************************************************************************
**DISC THICKNESS**
I use 20g disc for the majority of my hand-stamped & topically engraved projects. The only time I use 24g-22g (a bit thinner) is on layered pieces. This is standard. If you require thicker, you need to message me before I begin your project.
Deeply etched items, I use either 16g or 18g disc.
**BACKSIDE**
Most projects backside of disc, even if double sided, will have a satin matte finish since it will be laying next to clothing or skin. This helps reduce scratches & smudges.
If you choose a layered piece, please keep in mind that with the disc laying on top of one another, the friction will cause minor scratching, there is no way around this.

****************************************************************************************

JEWELRY CARE & RETURNS:

*********A care card is included with every purchase********

** I do NOT coat items for scratch prevention. This is not recommended on some porous metals require air.
If you decide to do this, please contact a jewelry professional.**

This care guide will cover .923 STERLING SILVER, STAINLESS STEEL & .999 FINE SILVER.

**TARNISH**
Every metal except pure gold and platinum will eventually tarnish. Slow the buildup of this annoying residue with 3M anti-tarnish tabs that will be included with your special piece. Place the strips in trays or in cases beside your jewelry to absorb the moisture and sulfurs that cause tarnish
((see detailed information below))

**CLEANING VIDEO**
CHECK OUT MY 1 MINUTE VIDEO....THIS IS HOW SIMPLE IT IS TO REMOVE TARNISH
https://youtu.be/zKe3SU3avFM

****************************************************************************************

WHY DOES .925 STERLING SILVER TARNISH?

Sterling silver contains copper, which adds hardness to silver. It also creates the tendency for silver jewelry to tarnish. Avoid exposing sterling silver to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, cosmetics, hair spray, and perfume. Get pretty first and then put on your jewelry! Also, avoid storing your silver out out the open air and humidity to reduce tarnishing. It is suggested to remove your jewelry before going to bed to avoid any pull on the chains. Sterling Silver is not scratch proof so store your jewelry so that it isn't rubbing against other metals.

************CARING FOR MY STERLING SILVER & POSSIBLE TARNISH**************
With proper care your silver will stay as beautiful and precious as the day you received it.

**WHAT CAUSES TARNISH?**
Humidity and chemicals in the air cause silver to tarnish.
"YOUR" chemical makeup!
The most common tarnish causing elements are food (onions, eggs, mayonnaise, salad dressing, salty foods) salt, wool, felt, rubber bands, latex gloves, carpet padding, sulfur in the air, oily residue from our hands and fingers.

**PREVENTING TARNISH & STORING YOUR ITEM**

Tarnish can be minimized during storage. Place individual pieces of silver inside polyethylene plastic bags (Ziploc®. bags work great) then seal the bags.
Wrap each piece with non-buffered tissue paper (acid-free and of archival quality) or soft, anti-tarnish tissue to guard against humidity and prevent contact with materials from the storage bag to the silver.
Tarnish-absorbing cloths and Anti-Tarnish (look for 3M or Hagerty Anti-Tarnish strips) paper strips also work well for a limited time.
An alternative choice is to place small containers or bags of desiccated silica gel and activated charcoal inside the bag (making sure each piece is individually wrapped). Storing silver in a special silver chest or box lined with with tarnish preventive fabric is also effective, and you can add a Anti-Tarnish strip into the box/chest and change it every few months.
DO NOT use plastic cling wrap, newspaper or rubber bands.
They have properties that react with silver causing damage that will require a silversmith to repair or polish it to remove the damage. Cardboard boxes that aren't archival have acids that will tarnish the silver very rapidly.
DO NOT lacquer or wax your silver due to the difficulties in obtaining an even coating. Many times if the coating was not been applied well, it may be uneven, have streaks and/or small holes, so that when the object tarnishes, the end result is many times worse than if no coating had been applied at all.

When displaying your silver in an open display, you can apply a micro-crystalline wax such as Renaissance®, or Hagerty's Silversmiths Spray Polish® which contains R-22 Tarnish Preventative. Both are recommended. Also treated gloves are available and a good way to keep silver items on display clean.

***********STORING YOUR STERLING SILVER************
while the above storage tips are the optimal way to store fine silver, silver jewelry should be worn and easily accessible so you can enjoy it without inconvenience. If you keep a paper Anti-tarnish strip in your jewelry box, and occasionally wash in warm water with a phosphate-free detergent, then dry with a soft cotton cloth, that may all that is needed.
Or if in a rush when taking your jewelry off, just wipe clean with the cloth before returning to your jewelry box. Remember to apply your hairspray and perfume BEFORE putting on any jewelry.

***********HOW TO CLEAN MY STERLING CHAIN************
If a polish cloth can't get into the hard to reach areas

BAKING SODA:
Able to remove tarnish and oxidation on the surface of the sterling silver chain, baking soda, when activated by boiling water in the presence of aluminum, clears away tarnish, leaving the sterling silver clean and shiny in appearance. Prior to application, boil just enough water to cover the pieces. Next, line a glass or plastic dish with a slight crumbled piece of aluminum foil and lay the chain on top, making certain that the silver is in direct contact with the aluminum. Sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda onto the chain, then pour enough boiling water to submerge it completely. The reaction should promote bubbling. To ensure that all of the silver surfaces come in contact with the aluminum, gently move the chain around using a wooden or plastic utensil. When clean, rinse the chain under warm running water and wipe dry.

ULTRASONIC CLEANER:
Ultrasonic jewellery cleaners use sound waves to remove dirt, soap residue, and oils. A suitable silver cleaner, these units come with or without heaters and prove as a quick and efficient way to clean sterling silver chains. Lastly, do not use ultrasonic cleaners with silver jewellery that contain gemstones, as this may cause discoloration, chips, or cracks to the gems surface.

**************METAL WILL SCRATCH*************
**fine steel wool is your friend** Its what I use a lot to remove scratches from my favorite pieces that have a MATTE finish.
Keep this in mind if you purchase or have purchased a layered item. Scratching happens with every day wear whether you have a layered piece or not. Just like with cleaning, fine steel wool & polish pads can work wonders!!

CLEANING STERLING SILVER

**PROPOLISH PADS** are the best! & can be found on the internet.

You can use either fine steel wool or pro polish pads for cleaning. The fine steel wool will also put a nice matte finish to your piece as well as pro polish pads are best used for shiny finishes & can even be found here on Etsy!!

These cleaning tips and hints are for the general public interested in maintaining the majority of personal silver, items that are silver or gold plated need the same type of care. Museum conservators use a different method requiring special chemicals, hours of time and special experience. Remember that the easiest way to keep your silver cleaning to a minimum is to store it properly.

1. If there is no tarnish on your silver, use a phosphate-free detergent to clean it after use. Silver that is used, then gently washed and dried immediately, will require seldom tarnish removal.

2. When first noticed (usually a yellowish-brownish tint), tarnish is easily removed. It becomes increasingly difficult to remove as it eventually turns to black. Frequent light cleanings, (washing the object with a phosphate-free detergent), then drying with a soft cloth is better than waiting until the tarnish gets so difficult to remove that more abrasive polishes would be needed.

3. When polishing or drying always use a clean, soft cotton cloth. Certain items may require a clean soft cotton ball.

4. Rub the object in a straight, back-an-forth manner so to maintain a uniform appearance. Avoid rubbing in a circular motion.

5. Dishwashers: we recommend that you DO NOT put your silver in a dishwasher - dishwashers will often turn silver an odd color and remove oxidation from the pattern. The heat may also loosen knife blades. The detergent and high temperature used in dishwashers is too abrasive, and can leave a dull non-reflective surface, that will require a trip to a professional silversmith to restore. The same applies to silver dips and other "miracle" cleaners. Items with mother-of-pearl, bone or ivory handles should never go in the dishwasher. Rare, old pieces should never be put in the dishwasher or mechanically buffed. Silver that touches stainless steel in the dishwasher can create a chemical reaction, producing black spots on the silver requiring professional refinishing. These pieces routinely end up in a silversmith's shop for blade remounting, re-oxidizing, and/or refinishing.

6. For objects WITHOUT porous parts:

A. With a moist cellulose sponge apply Tarni-Shield™, Twinkle®, Goddard’s™ Silver Wash, Wright's® Anti-Tarnish Silver Polish or Wright's® Silver Cream sparingly. If you like to use gloves then use special anti-tarnish or cotton cloth gloves which contain no ingredients to tarnish silver. If using Hagerty Silversmiths Spray Polish®, lay object(s) on a cotton cloth then light spray (great for intricate items, filigree, or items with hard to reach spots), wait 30 seconds to dry. Use a clean part of the cloth in each time you dry or polish item. Rub the object in a straight, back-an-forth manner do NOT rub in a circular motion. Rinse the sponge regularly, for elements in the tarnish can be very abrasive. Flattened cotton swab heads with very little silver polish applied are excellent for cleaning between fork tines, run it parallel within each opening.

B. Dried polish should be removed by patting the area with a warm, wet cotton ball or a wet horsehair brush. Rinse the object with warm water then dry with a Selvyt™ cloth or cotton dish towel immediately to avoid spotting.

C. For pieces that have been dulled by heavy tarnish, use a rouge cloth to restore the original luster to silver and gold. Unlike the Selvyt™ cloth which is untreated, the rouge cloth contains a polishing agent, normally rouge. You can use untreated, heavyweight cotton inspection gloves (remember - never use rubber gloves with silver) to avoid finger prints when cleaning and storing your freshly cleaned objects. After using, if you prefer not to apply a tarnish protectant, wash all silver by hand with a phosphate free dish-washing detergent and warm water then dry immediately with a Selvyt™ cloth or cotton dish towel. Try not allow silver to touch a metal sink, as the sink itself can scratch. Remove food from your silver promptly.

7. For objects WITH porous parts, stones or amber:

A. With the smallest amount of polish possible, use a large cotton ball and turn the surface being cleaned - avoid touching the non-silver portion, gemstone, or hollow part of the item with the polish. Wood, amber, precious stones, gems, ivory insulators, and felt used on the bottoms of candlesticks other pieces can be damaged when introduced to excess moisture, including water. Be careful not to allow moisture into hollow areas that will not dry (ex.handle sockets with minute holes) or if there is no source of water, use Goddard’s™ Long Shine Silver Polish or Hagerty Silversmith Spray Polish (apply Hagertys to the cotton ball then quickly apply to the item). These are the two polishes that are meant to dry then buff off. Let the polish dry and remove it with a Selvyt™ cloth (preferred) or cotton dish towel. Selvyt™ is a lint-free, untreated, 100% cotton wiping cloth which is also excellent for highlighting ornament. Always use the smallest amount of polish necessary.

B. To remove grime and dried polish left on previously polished pieces use a dry horsehair brush. Then use a wet brush which will soften the bristles and aid in lifting the old polish from the object's surface with minimal abrasion. When used wet, the bristles alone will not scratch the silver. If necessary use a moistened toothpick to get into the smallest hard to get to spots.

8. Chemical Dips: These dips dissolve tarnish on an object rapidly. Generally dips are used by professional silver restorers when heavy, black tarnish cannot be removed with liquid or paste polishes. The dip is wiped over the object with a cellulose sponge or cotton ball to avoid over cleaning (as submerging the entire piece for long periods will damage the silver by pitting of the surface and remove factory-applied patinas, then the new surface will act like a sponge and more readily absorb tarnish-producing gases and moisture. The object may then require professional polishing to restore the original finish). The acid in these dips will damage, bronze, stainless stell, and many other materials, including the human body. When using dips you must work in a well-ventilated area and wear nitrile gloves. Also chemical dips should never be used anything with sealed components, like hollow feet, hollow handles (many pitchers, teapots, creamers, etc. contain hollow handles) candlestick or trophies. If the dip leaks into the cavity through small holes or imperfections in the joints, it is virtually impossible to wash the chemical out. Therefore we recommend that chemical dips only be used by professionals.

9. Electrochemical (Galvanic) Reduction: We do NOT recommend this cleaning technique. Items cleaned by this method may tarnish more quickly polished silver. The surface will act like a sponge and more readily absorb tarnish-producing chemicals and moisture. The solution used can alsocreep into hollow areas such as handles, weighted pieces with minute holes, and any porous attachments. Pitting of the object can occur if the aluminum plate is not periodically cleaned.

AFTER Cleaning - if you notice a purplish stain after cleaning your silver, DO NOT attempt to remove it. This stain, (oxidized copper), is called firestain and is commonly found on many colonial through nineteenth century pieces. This process was used to leave the object with a pure silver surface which is more resistant to tarnishing. The stain develops in sterling silver and silver coins when oxygen penetrates the outer surface during brazing, oxidizing the copper content. Fine silver is left on the surface when acid chemically removes the oxidized copper (though copper may be oxidized below the surface). These pieces will show this stain after many years of polishing.

Another good try!!
Black spots and tarnish that appear on sterling (Silver Sulfide) ( rubber bands, eggs and other materials particularly those with sulfur will rapidly turn the silver areas dark) can sometimes be removed with water, baking soda (make a paste) and a rubbing action. For severe tarnish/black spots, you can dip the silver in a cleaner such as EZ-EST #1951 Instant Silver Cleaner for 20-30 seconds, drain, then follow with baking soda sprinkled on the spot/area, rubbing, and then a rinse in warm water. Then rinse again in soapy water and a final water rinse. Next spray Awesome Orange (at the $ Store) or other degreaser on the silver, followed by a rinse in water to remove any remnants of the Awesome Orange and coin cleaner. (Repeat as necessary). Use rubber gloves if you have sensitive hands

TIPS

1. Don't use Toothpaste, ever, as a silver polish. Many toothpastes ingredients which even in trace amounts may cause serious damage. Only use silver polishes.

2. Don't use polishes that have dried-up (the abrasive particles are now much too concentrated and will harm your silver), don't use steel wool, Scotch-Brite™ or any type of scouring pads (too abrasive), or chemical dips (too toxic).

3. Removing Labels. Try using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then the label should come off easily. Remove any sticky residues with isopropyl alcohol. Any discoloration can be removed with a tiny bit of silver polish.

4. Always use the smallest amount of polish possible.

5. Never rub polish in a circular motion.

List of recommended polishes and cleaners, which can be found in your local jewelry shop, department store, hardware store, pharmacy, general store or listed distributors:

1. 3M's Tarni-Shield™ Silver Polish and Twinkle® Silver Polish are the least abrasive of the commercial cleaners, Tarni-Shield™ seems to have a more effective tarnish barrier than Twinkle.

2. Goddard’s™ Long Shine Silver Polish and Silver Wash. Meant to be applied, allow to dry, then buff & polish off.

3. Wright's® Anti-Tarnish Silver Polish and Silver Cream (this product offers no tarnish protection). Especially recommended to remove stains on steel knife blades. If the choice is between a polish that protects better but is more abrasive, and one that does not protect as well but is far less abrasive, go with the less abrasive polish. Polishes that are meant to be washed off are less abrasive because they use a liquid to suspend the polishing ingredients.

4. Haggerty® Silversmiths® Spray Polish - particularly good for fine work, filigree, intricate and hard to reach spots.

RHODIUM JEWELRY
Rhodium plated jewelry

Rhodium is a member of the platinum family. Rhodium is used on jewelry to provide a surface that will resist scratches much better than other metals and tarnish, and give a white, reflective appearance. Rhodium's base metal is brass. Rhodium electroplating is used to make jewelry shine.

It is important to know that rhodium does not last forever. but taken care of, you can sustain your rhodium plated pendant to last a lifetime.

How to take care of your rhodium plated pendant.

**MICROFIBER CLOTHES** is what I use!!

1. Take off your rhodium pendant when you sleep. Constant contact with body oils may eventually lead to discoloration.

2. Don’t let your rhodium plated pendant come in contact with your lotions and perfumes. The chemicals in these products help erode the Rhodium plating over time. Make sure the lotion has dried on your skin before you put your pendant on.

3. Remove your pendant before you exercise or do any sort of activity that will make you sweat. Just like body oils, sweat can be corrosive to rhodium over time.

4. Avoid exposing your pendant to harsh household chemicals.

5. Do not use ultrasonics.

6. Take off your pendant before getting in a pool or hot tub containing chlorinated water.

How to clean your pendant
1. Mix a wash of one-part mild detergent and three-parts warm water in a bowl.

2. Wash the pendant thoroughly hand. Lightly rub pendant.

3. Rinse the pendant under warm, until all detergent has washed away.

4. Pat the pendant dry with a microfiber cloth. Don't wipe or rub vigorously because this can accelerate wear. Gently wipe in one direction.

STAINLESS STEEL JEWELRY

Stainless steel jewelry is slightly similar in appearance to silver. It is harder than silver and will not tarnish which is why it is increasingly used in jewelry. White gold and sterling silver pieces often contain a metal called ‘nickel’ which can cause allergic reactions in some people.
Stainless jewelry can be (but is not always) made without nickel making it suitable for those allergic to nickel. Depending upon the shape and type of jewelry stainless steel may be more difficult and hence more expensive than a corresponding piece of silver jewelry.

Stainless jewelry does not have the same luster or shine as other metals but some prefer its slightly more metallic appearance and it is particularly popular amongst men.
Stainless steel jewelry is more jewelry than gold and silver pieces and will not tarnish or rust as easily. Sterling silver is whiter & brighter When to buy Stainless Steel Jewelry

If you like the metallic finish and require a robust piece of jewelry capable of withstanding moisture without tarnish or corrosion then stainless steel is a very affordable and wise option. It is not used in finer pieces with more precious gemstones simply because it is not considered as desirable as platinum, gold and other precious metals.

Stainless steel is a metal that has been used for a long time by companies for many purposes like in the fabrication of kitchen appliances. It is also used for watches and now for jewelry.

It is often chosen by many manufacturers because it is a very strong, solid and durable metal that will not rust.

For these same reasons, stainless steel is now popular in the making of jewelry. It will not tarnish or discolor your skin.

It is perfect for those who prefer the silver color but dislike the discoloration properties of silver and it is less expensive then white gold.

It is also used by many people who love silver but have allergique reactions. Not all steel jewelry is hypoallergenique though. It has to be the type made with surgical steel.

"Although SST is hypo allergenic it actually does have nickel in the alloy however very few people have a reaction to it, another customer gave me this info as an explanation: “The nickel in stainless is actually bound much tighter than in most metals. What people have problems with is the nickel salts that come loose when in contact with the chemicals in the skin. Because the nickel is bound tighter, there is a way lower chance that people will have an allergy to stainless because the salts do not easily dissociate.”

Stainless steel is often a perfect alternative for engagement rings.

Stainless steel jewelry is becoming more and more popular, especially among men. People are attracted to it's beauty, class and strength. You can find rings, bracelets, chains, body jewelry and many other types of stainless steel jewelry.

My blanks primarily are Grade 304 which actually has a lower nickle (symbol Ni) content than 316L. You may find the following links helpful:
