Jay is a wonderful seller, works with you to make "things right" as he says in Navy!! I've had wonderful conversations with him . He is a Gem of a seller!! Can't go wrong with him!!

Shop policies

I have things I have made or collected and restored that I want to share with others. Some things need a new home or I have multiples of similar things that want to be unique in a new environment. I have an "open systems" mentality, that is, I want to communicate openly and not hide anything. I will share any information I have about my things and activities that are of interest to others. I do my best to describe my items completely and fairly, plus provide meaningful pictures.

However, misunderstandings occur and mistakes are made, so open communication is necessary to clear up these issues when they occur. If you have a question about any aspect of one of my items, please ask and I will try to respond in a timely fashion. Please note that sometimes electrical storms make it impossible to operate a computer safely, so we have to wait until the weather clears before responding. I live in the region called the Lightning capital of the USA.
Remittances are to be in US dollars and they should be sent within 3 days of initiating a transaction per my instructions below.

PayPal does not work here because it is too constraining on sellers in terms of options and costs to both buyer and seller. I can do better for you in terms of pricing and shipping costs without PayPal's restrictions and interference.

Payment should be by personal, business, or cashier's checks, or money order. Well concealed cash works too.

Checks for items exceeding $35.00 in price are held 10 days for clearance. Items paid for via lesser checks and money orders are sent the next mailing day, weather permitting.

Upon purchase, please contact me, no later than (3) three days, so that contact can be established.

Payment within 10 days is appreciated. If there is a problem with that time frame, please contact me and I can make other arrangements to suit us both.

If there is no payment within 14 days I reserve the right to cancel the sale.
I will try to ship to you within the payment windows described above, however, hurricanes might pose an obstacle occasionally.

The goal here is to get your item to you as effectively as possible (note I did not say "efficiently', that word does not apply to the transportation infrastructure of this country).

I try to quote the lowest, actual available postal or shipping rate based on weight. I also try to give you a choice of shippers on larger items if it will save you money.

No packing, materials or handling fees are charged and I use
recycled packing materials whenever possible.

Feel free to email me for an exact shipping quote to your zip code. If you live in the Tampa Bay area and wish to pick up an item, I will be happy to try to arrange it.

Insurance is optional on amounts under $50.00 but it is at your risk if you decline it. I pack well and can provide proof of mailing to your zip code, but my liability ends there if you choose not to insure.

I provide custom service and do my own packing. Delivery confirmation is available if you wish to purchase it.

You make the choices and pay the costs, so choose wisely. If you buy an expensive item and choose not to insure it, or otherwise track it, my postal or shipping receipt will have to suffice as proof of shipping.

I will ship the item as you direct from among the options available either from USPS or commercial carrier. But if I have a choice of shipping first class postage vice priority, I prefer the former for lightweight items.

I prefer to deal with USA customers only because of the hassles involved when shipping overseas (customs forms, insurance costs, time to ship, other costs, etc.) I am not xenophobic, I just do not want to spend the time doing what has to be done to conform to international shipping requirements.
Refunds and Exchanges
Sale is final unless the item has been misrepresented.

Generally speaking exchanges probably are not going to happen either. As I said above, I try to describe things fully, fairly, and completely. However, almost all of what I sell are unique items, so exchanges probably are not going to be possible.

If errors occur then a refund is in order, but let us talk first.

Personal service is my pleasure. Part of the enjoyment of
selling is providing the customer a pleasant buying experience. I am not a business, just one of two people disposing of a collection of good "stuff" acquired over a lifetime of collecting, or items made or restored over a similar period of time.

All items come from a non smoking home. We do have a poodle and a parrot in residence with us, in case you have severe allergies.
