Announcement   Welcome to the Starving Artist Bags store!
You too can make a difference! One re-usable shopping bag will save thousands of plastic bags from polluting the environment.

We are committed to providing the highest quality organic cotton totes with unique art prints. Please enjoy the artwork.

These are not your average tote bags! Unlike the ones in your local grocery store, our bags are all 100% USA Organic Cotton, imprinted with unique, high resolution art prints by artists who we personally invite to be a part of Starving Artist Bags. And the bags are built to last, sewn with care right here in San Francisco, California. Rather than being a billboard for big corporations by displaying their logo wherever you go, support a starving artist by carrying bags with their beautiful art printed on the face. Click on an item listing to learn more about our bags. Click on an artist name under Categories to view all of that artist's bags, or just browse through all of our designs. We work directly with local and far-away artists to provide these original images on canvas for your everyday enjoyment!

Thank you for visiting Starving Artist Bags!

Our Philosophy:

We believe that art can be an inspirational tool. A work of art has the power to inspire emotion and creativity in many. The same inspiration can also come from a pristine stream, or a forest, or waves crashing on a sea shore. In this way art and nature are similar. Nature constantly creates and inspires, and art is our way of doing the same.

This is the idea behind Starving Artist Bags. When we use reusable bags we are doing one small act, one that we can all do, to help preserve the beauty of our planet. The more of us who participate, the larger that act becomes. By selling high quality organic cotton reusable bags decorated with wonderful works of art, we hope to do our part in inspiring more people to do something good for the planet, while exposing the works of these talented artists to a wider audience.

You can still pay through PayPal using the credit or debit card of your choice, just by clicking on the PayPal button as your method of payment, and following the on screen instructions for paying without an account.

Shipping
We always try to ship as soon as possible after receiving payment (within 1-3 days, unless otherwise specified in our shop announcements). Depending on our stock, we often print our bags to order, so please allow for some variance in shipping dates/delivery. For US domestic orders, we ship using USPS Priority Mail. We ship internationally using USPS First Class Mail. International customers are responsible for any customs fees that may be incurred. International shipping can take anywhere from one week to more than a month (hopefully sooner!) depending on the destination country and possible customs delays.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you have any problems with your order please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue. Customer satisfaction is a priority for us. As stated elsewhere in our shop, please note that our bags are untreated organic cotton, so if washed some shrinking or fading may occur. We recommend spot cleaning when possible, and no ironing on the image.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have any questions or concerns please feel contact us through our Etsy site or our website at www.starvingartistbags.com.

Please note, our bags are all 100% untreated organic cotton. For this reason they may shrink or fade a bit if washed. We recommend spot cleaning when possible. To wash, turn the bags inside out and wash cold. Hang dry. Only use a warm iron, inside out, if necessary. Ironing is not recommended, as it may damage the heat transfer image.
