I discovered my love for creating at a very young age. I was constantly making clothes and furniture for my dolls, miniature houses to re-arrange, and art for my family. My parents were encouraging and supported my multi-medium dabbling. When I finally discovered millinery through theatrical costume design I was instantly smitten.

Sometimes creating new things can be a challenge. I like to work with an open mind. I allow the materials to speak to me as I work, adjusting and making changes as I go. Because of this, none of my hats are ever exactly the same. I currently work in the middle of my kitchen, taking over our entire dining room table, the coffee table and occasionally my hubby's desk too. Sometimes my little boy even offers to help, usually by modeling my newest flower barrette.

Some day I would love to have my own studio space, but I do enjoy being able to just pick up a hat and work whenever I feel the urge.

I love spending time with my hubby and my little boy. They keep me smiling when I get frustrated.
