5 out of 5 starsLove this my new floor cloth!! My sister has had one...and I always loved it. The colors are fabulous and its really comfortable under my feet. I have it in the kitchen...but may need to get another one for elsewhere in my house.

5 out of 5 starsThis is one of a pair of canvas floor cloths I bought from this artist, and I couldn't be happier! They are beautifully painted on heavy canvas that lies perfectly flat. This one is going to a kitchen in Cape Cod where it will get a lot of wear and tear.
The beautiful thing about canvas floor cloths is that, if they are well made, and these mats surely are, they will last for years. I may get some more for my bathrooms! -

Full Circle Back to my Roots
My journey to this exciting most recent phase of my life is varied and full. Starting out as a potter in Santa Fe, New Mexico after studying design at Buffalo State University in the 1970s, I worked as part of a collective of potters experimenting with form, color and all sort of firing methods.. The southwestern landscape filled me with a love of the desert and the mountains, the colors of electrifying sunsets and intense blue sky.
Life took a turn and I found myself training to become a dental hygienist. I practiced for 25 years in Western Massachusetts and thoroughly enjoyed using my people and clinical skills. I concurrently taught at a community college for 10 years and loved inspiring students to become more empathic practitioners.
Again life took another turn as ongoing arthritis curtailed my dental work. Back to school again where I trained to teach English (ESL) to adult learners. I spent over 3 years teaching in a variety of settings. I loved the creativity involved with teaching, the need for intuitive, quick on your feet thinking and most of all I learned so much from my students who taught me so much about persistence and fortitude.
As my most recent teaching job ended I decided to devote myself full time to growing my fledgling business creating one of a kind hand painted floor mats. I feel I have come full circle back to my design roots and am doing work that nourishes my soul. Playing with color and design excites and invigorates me. Using fabric overlay combined with paint allows me to play within the collage medium with new designs. More fun to come!
