StepOriginals' Shop Policies
Thank you for shopping Step Originals. Our one-of-a-kind treasures for your waist are encrusted with genuine stones, glass pearls, rhinestones, sea glass, lace, stained glass and vintage pieces. We offer over 350 styles to choose from.
We are also proud to offer buckles for all branches of the Military, as well as Fire, Police and Medical.
Each buckle in our mosaic sea glass collection takes over a week to complete. These mini artworks are available in a variety of styles ranging from a laid back beach vibe to uptown femininity.
Custom orders are welcome.
We accept payment via PayPal. Payment is required immediately when purchasing.
If you choose to purchase with a credit card and do not want to join PayPal, you still click on the PayPal icon. That will take you to a PayPal screen where you find the option "I do not have a PayPal account" and follow the instructions.
If payment is not received immediately, we will contact you to make sure you still want to purchase your item. Transactions will be cancelled in 3 days if no contact is made by buyer and no payment received.
By state law, I must charge sales tax to all California residents.
All items are shipped within 5-7 business days of receipt of payment. Most are shipped within 48 hours.
For gift orders, we will ship to a different address than what is listed on your PayPal account. Please make sure your Etsy "ship to" address is the correct one, that is the address that your order will be shipped to, and leave us a note in the "message to seller" section when you checkout.
All items are shipped either USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate or first class with tracking. If you would like additional protection on your items (insurance, etc) please let us know and we will set up a new shipping option. If you choose not to purchase additional protection we are NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS.
Orders under 6 buckles are $5.50 priority. Orders over 6 require a medium priority box at $12.00
Please let me know if you need your purchase shipped outside of the United States.
International customers are responsible for duties, taxes and customs fees assessed by your country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; sellers have no control over these charges. You may contact your local customs office for more information.
When filling out customs forms, U.S. and International government regulations prohibit sellers from marking merchandise values lower than the selling price, as well as marking items as gifts.
Unfortunately, sellers have no control over the time it may take for your item to go through Customs before it arrives to you.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope that you will love your Step Original as much as I loved creating it. All sales are final, but if for some reason there is a problem, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to resolve it.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will issue a refund. Shipping costs are not refundable. The returned item must be shipped back to us, and we will only refund items once the returned item has been received.Shipping charges are not refundable, and the shipping cost of return or exchange is the responsibility of the customer.
There are no refunds for special orders or hand engraved buckles. These are final sale.
If an item reaches you in damaged condition, please contact us within 5 business days and we will work out the problem together. This has never happened, but I understand that one must "never say never".
