About SteveCarboniArt
From my first paintings in kindergarten to now I have always loved art and what can be expressed with color and form.
My shop is one way that I share my work with you. I do all of my own paintings in acrylics, watercolor or both and use a local printer to produce my archival giclee prints. I take high quality photos of my works which I provide to my printer who then provides me with giclee prints that I then examine for accuracy.
Most of my works start without a subject in mind. I begin with a free form of color and shape which leads me to discover images that appear out of my imagination. This is most satisfying to me as an artist; it allows me to follow my creative instincts. It's kind of like looking at clouds and suddenly seeing things that both you and the sky above share. From there I pursue those points of interest and expand them by modifying detail and color. My hope is that you find my work enjoyable to look at and that you too see something of value in it.

I paint or do collage of many subjects, in abstract or realistic form. Much of my work could be thought of as a "Geometric Impressionism." I use acrylics & watercolors. I let color and form take me where they may.

I use Gango Custom Printing to produce my giclee prints on fine art paper. I provide them with images of my original art taken by me. They do an excellent job of reproduction with archival colors and paper.
