About

I may have gone natural, but I'm "Still Not A Hippie".

It all started with my first trip to Seattle. I'd hit up the famous Pike Place Market and found a little stand selling something I'd never heard of -- solid lotion. Huh??? What was this magic? I'd been using solid shampoo, but never heard of solid lotion!

Lotion in the form of a solid bar. Whoa. All I had to do was just rub it into my skin and it would moisturize as the oils and butters melted into my skin. I bought one. Yes, just one. Just to try it out.

I was hooked. With all of my flying, solid lotions don't count as a liquid. SCORE!

And then slowly, but surely, I became a bit more mindful of the things going onto my body, but the real curiosity didn't kick in until a trip to Guatemala. I returned even more aware, wanting to learn more about simple ingredients and what essential oils can do for your body, and wanting to see what I could make. It hadn't occurred to me that I could make my own body products. Duhhh!

What started with wanting to make my own solid lotion bars so that I wouldn't have to buy them anymore, slowly evolved into wanting to find more natural ways to relieve things like headaches, sore muscles, allergies, diaper rash (for babies that aren't even mine!!) that I or my friends may have.

I just want to help people feel good and if I can do that naturally, why not? That led to more and more of my friends calling me a "hippie" and me just denying it because even though I'd begun looking towards more natural "remedies", I still do very non-hippie things.

I just happened to want to help people that I know feel better and I wanted my products to be as natural as possible -- no whacko, bazillion-syllable ingredients here! If I wouldn't put on my body, I wouldn't want anyone else to.

And so, my hashtag of "#stillnotahippie" was born as I made more and more products.

I gave so many things away as gifts.. and then someone actually asked to BUY them and it clicked. The name of my product line took just a moment to think about -- "Still Not A Hippie" was born.

The products are handmade with ingredients that you could probably find right in your kitchen or pantry. For most of them, you could probably eat them if you really, really had to. And it makes me feel good knowing that I may be able to help more and more people by expanding. :-p

Come on in. Check out what I have to offer.

Have questions? Drop me a line. :-)

All orders up to 16oz will ship via USPS First Class or Priority, whichever you choose. Orders with a ship weight of 16oz and over, will automatically ship via Priority Mail.
If I can get all of the items into a Small Flat Rate Box, I will do so. I will also refund shipping overages of $1 or more.

USPS Priority also includes up to $100 insurance.

If something does go wrong, I will do my best to help you resolve the issue with USPS. I do highly recommend purchasing the additional insurance for your package if your order is over $100.

Undeliverable orders (ex: return to sender) will be cancelled and refunded, less the cost of shipping. To help ensure that your order arrives at its destination, please make sure that the shipping information is correct, especially if you're placing a gift order.

SHIP TIMES:
USPS First Class typically takes 2-5 business days once it ships, depending on the shipping destination.
Though USPS Priority Mail should take 2-3 business days for your order to arrive after it ships, it is still not guaranteed by USPS, though they're usually pretty dependable.

If it's around holiday gift-giving season, please be aware that the increase in packages being sent out may cause delivery to be delayed, so please keep that in mind.

Upgrading your shipping to Expedited Shipping or shipping via UPS may be possible. Please contact me directly before placing your order.
