About

Busted up and doing what I love

I just like making things that are beautiful and functional. I love working with copper, but I also like to design furniture and anything useful. Metal is my preferred medium, but I also enjoy working with wood and acrylics.
I design all of my products but also accept custom orders. Please let me make you something cool and useful - I won't disappoint!

Greetings from Northern Colorado!
I live in beautiful Fort Collins and was hit hard by the recession in 2008 when I was run over by a truck while cycling, nearly lost my leg, and definitely lost my job.
Since then, I have spent my time doing odd jobs to pay the bills, always fighting and doing what I can to stay afloat and keep my home.
The recovery of my leg was slow but sure, and the employment situation was looking pretty good until last month, when I hopped on my motorcycle to run a quick errand and got myself run over AGAIN just two blocks away from my house. Both my legs were crushed in several places this time, and recovery is unsure.
All I can say is - don't be paranoid, but never take life or health for granted. It can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye ... sometimes twice.
All I want to do is make neat things and somehow find a way to pay my bills so I can stay in this house. So please, put me to work, and I will do my best to make you a beautiful, functional piece of art that will last for generations to come.

Shipping
USA domestic shipping varies by weight and size. The costs shown are an umbrella estimate - if the actual cost is less than quoted I will refund you the difference. If it is more, than I eat the additional cost. I ship internationally; however, it is the buyers responsibility to ensure compliance with all local laws and ordinances. I will not be held liable for lost shipments due to non-compliance with local laws.
Additional policies and FAQs
Glossary of commonly used terms at my shop:
Condense: to change from a gas into a liquid. This happens after the alcohol reaches 170 F in the column, and moves (in vapor form) over to the condenser.
HVLP Condenser: This is my High Volume Low Pressure condenser. This design features a thru-tube surrounded my a water jacket. I often pack the thru-tube with glass beads to increase surface area (and therefore condensation rate).
LVHP Condenser: Low Volume High Pressure condenser. A conventional condenser featuring an air chamber surrounding a cooling coil.
Reflux: To boil (a liquid) in a vessel attached to a condenser so that the vapors continuously condense for reboiling. This happens on the column side of the still and purifies the alcohol by basically 'distilling' it multiple times in one step before the condensing/collecting stage.
