I taught myself how to crochet (thanks, YouTube!) to relieve school stress, and though I left my life as a professor behind to become a full-time artist, I haven't been able to put my hooks and yarn down since!

My goal as an artist is to encourage critical play -- play that opens up rather than closes down opportunities to see the world from different points of view. So, my crocheted figures often mashup characters we're very familiar with but who you wouldn't normally find together. For example, the toy that started it all -- Meow Medusa -- mixes together Hello Kitty and, you guessed it :-), Medusa!

I'm also always looking for new inspiration, which has come in the form of custom orders -- I love these! So, if you're looking for a soft-toy version of your bff's favorite Drag Race character (check out Sharon Stitches) or your school's mascot (check out Tatanka the Bison), just send me a message!

Lastly, I want to put my money where my heart mouth is, so 10% of all profits from sales are donated to a rotating list of organizations and individuals doing oh-so-necessary social justice work.
