We're all mad here

For some people Etsy shops are carefully planned business ventures. For others they are unplanned and unscripted ADventures...

This shop began with handspun yarn. I like to spin. A lot. And I love colour and playing with it, so I don't just spin colours that I personally would wear. Where would be the fun in that? But what was I to do with these yarns that I had invested hours and hours and nights and weekends into but was unlikely to use myself? And thus a shop was born...

And then my love of colour led me to thinking how much MORE awesomer it would be to spin fibre that I had dyed myself. So I practiced and practiced till I started to dye things that looked good. And once again I had more than I could use many weekends find me in the basement with the Spiders and the Glowing Things and the Steaming Things and the fibre and the yarn and all the colours... Most of it even makes it to the shop. MOST of it.

Who knows where it will go next? Not me! But that's the fun, and the adventure, and the road to Wonderland...

PayPal is preferred for purchasers from outside New Zealand.

Within New Zealand I'm happy to accept payment by bank transfer.
All items are shipped by New Zealand Post within 5 days after payment is made, and items will be packaged to protect them from rain as well as normal handling.
Please note that any import duties or taxes imposed in your country must be paid by the purchaser.

I do not normally use tracking as NZ Post is generally very reliable; however if you would prefer a courier or other kind of tracked delivery then please convo me.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you change your mind about a purchase after payment but BEFORE the item has been shipped then please convo me to arrange a refund.

I have made every effort to portray the colours of my yarns and fibers accurately and indicate what they are best used for; however computer monitor colours vary and my suggested uses are guidelines only.

Please remember that my hand-spun yarns are HAND-MADE. Twist angle and thickness will not be 100% consistent throughout any skein and there may be small nubs or fluffy patches. Many of the yarns have been hand-dyed by myself or other indie dyers and as such there may be a tiny amount of colour bleeding when the yarn is first washed. This will not affect the overall shade or colour intensity of the yarn.

If you encounter a problem with a yarn that you have purchased then please convo me to discuss it. I am happy to consider refunds on unused skeins if returned in original condition.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you are interested in requesting custom-dyed fibre or yarn then please convo me - I'm happy to consider it. Please bear in mind though that I also have a full time job so the production of large orders may take some time.
Sorry, but I do NOT do spinning to order.
