Good tutorial. Well written and informative.
Contemporary art jewelry in polymer and metal.
Betsy hand fabricates one of a kind and limited edition contemporary art jewelry in her Boston studio. She works primarily in polymer, a synthetic low fire clay that is remarkably versatile and colorful. Her polymer work incorporates a variety of mixed media surface techniques, including alcohol inks, acrylic paint, silkscreening and image transfers. She complements the polymer with hand forged and vintage metal components that add dimension and textural contrast to her pieces. Stonehouse Studio jewelry has a serene feel with a zen-like balance of pattern, color and shape. The pieces are simple, elegant and wearable.
Betsy's work has been featured by several popular art blogs, including Crafthaus, Daily Art Muse and Polymer Clay Daily. She was a featured artist in the April ’09 online edition of American Style magazine and in the Gallery section of the January ’10 edition of Art Jewelry Magazine. She was selected as an Invited Artist for the 2011 Craftboston shows of fine contemporary craft. Her work is featured in Lark books 500 Showcase Necklaces.
