Updates

A new machine has made it into my clutches! Expect new bags, pumpkin and all in the next update, including spots for commissions!
Sometimes it's hard to envision the visual style of something suggested. You don't have to wear this cutie as seen in the listing! Pick from 2 other styles in the drop down menu! Seen here in the option "collar/choker" -- see listing for sizing.

About

If you're strange and spooky, you've come to the right place.

Greetings!
I am Mari Mortem and Halloween is my aesthetic.

I am a small batch artisan, meaning I don't produce in bulk and I likely never will-- all of my work is completely handcrafted in my home by me and me alone.
Strange Coven is the result of being so obsessed with spooky and cute things, coupled with a love of sewing and crafting, bringing them together... and finding I have no more room to hoard the culmination!
I craft what I love, and my hope is that someone out there will love what I create. So here we are, a little shop where I hope you'll find a little strange treasure to enjoy!

With kindest salutations,
~Mari Mortem.

Returns and exchange details
Due to the nature of handmade items, I accept refunds or exchanges on most READY-MADE items/listings.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged, no exceptions:
- Custom or personalized orders
- OOAK (one of a kind) listings/items
- Intimate items, such as lingerie, hair accessories... etc. (for health/hygiene reasons).

Please contact me within 14 days of original delivery to begin the refund or exchange process. No returns or exchanges will be accepted for any reason after 14 days; on most cases I require the item be shipped within 30 days of the original delivery.

Item(s) must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

All items are carefully inspected and packaged before shipping; I am not liable/responsible for items damaged through the shipping process. Please contact your local mailing carrier to begin a damages claim.
Payment
My preferred method of payment is paypal or Etsy payments for all transactions.

Don't have the upfront cost? No problem! I welcome the request for payment installments on all my items.
Please note, that a tiny fee will be added for every payment of this kind in order to make up for Etsy's and Paypal's Fees.
Contact me for further information and/or reservation.
Shipping
All shipping rate estimates are based on USPS shipping rates and times via Etsy shipping calculator. In the unlikely event that a postage cost overage exceeding $2.00 USD occurs, you will be immediately refunded the difference.

READY-MADE items ship within 1-2 business days (not including weekends) of when payment is received.
If for any reason there is a delay, I shall contact you as soon as possible.

Process times for 'custom' or 'made to order work' varies case by case; processing times will be indicated in the description of individual listing(s), or discussed in Conversations.

Buyers are responsible for any customs taxes or imports that may apply:
I am not responsible for items once they leave my care.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am a small/home business based out of the US that is not registered to collect any VAT/GST/other taxes for foreign countries. Therefore the price you pay is generally for my item(s) + shipping (State taxes where applicable). If you live outside of the US you may be subject to these charges when your order arrives, which is your responsibility.

At this time, freelance and custom work will be considered/accepted first come first serve.

My base of operation is kitty cat and incense friendly!

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take a custom order to process?

On average it takes 1-2 weeks of construction after all details of a design have been finalized, but on occasion it might take longer-- estimations are given individually, and based on the work.

Do you charge deposits with custom orders?

Yes, I do. I typically ask for 15% of the final price down. If any details change that increase or decrease price, I do not charge again. Your final cost will reflect the changes done after the deposit. These deposits are non-refundable to protect my time and yours.

What do you mean you accept custom orders 'case by case'?

There are some things I just don't have the time to do; I also work part time aside from everything to do with this business... so anything too elaborate, I simply can't accept to do.

Do sales and free shipping offers count towards custom orders?

No, they unfortunately do not.

How do I secure a commission spot?

Consultation is free, but it does not guarantee you a spot. After primary details are approved, I request 15% of the project cost down and once paid means your spot is assured.

I changed my mind about a custom item, but paid my deposit-- can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, no. I spend a lot of time with my clients and a deposit helps me to protect my time and help cover potential extras spent that I may not be able to use after a deposit has been made.
