About

That Retro Girl

The founding of Stratfield Workshop, which is now That Retro Girl, has evolved over a period of years or really my entire life. It is a culmination of my interests as an artist and a gardener and my love of antiques which has fueled my interest in buying and selling vintage. I have always been a collector/ hunter gatherer in one form or another, so it dawned on me to start selling some of my collection. I listed the first item and it sold within days of being posted. Several sales later it began to make perfect sense to me to continue along this path. I then began to scour estate sales and flea markets. I was instantly hooked, truthfully addicted is more like it. I am lucky to live in an area where there are no shortages of beautiful old homes filled with vintage treasures. I love the hunt for a truly amazing piece and I cannot wait for weekend estate, moving and tag sales.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I accept paypal, direct checkout and personal checks at this time, All customs fees are paid by the buyer.
Shipping
For domestic orders I ship via USPS priority mail within 48 hours upon receiving payment for an order. I always send a shipping notification as soon as a package is sent out. Shipping rates are based from coast to coast so I offer refunds on overestimated quotes for $2.00 or over. I also include tracking and insurance into my shipping costs. Recycled packing materials are used when I can. For international orders I use USPS first class international mail. I am happy to ship internationally, just contact me before you buy so I can get you the best rates to your country. For fragile items such as glass and pottery I double box to prevent any damage.
Refunds and Exchanges
I spend a lot of time trying to describe and photograph each piece in my shop very carefully. However I understand that sometimes pieces are not as they seem in photos. For that reason I do offer full refunds for up to one week after receipt of the item. Buyer pays return shipping costs. Of course the item needs to be in the same condition as it was sent.
Additional policies and FAQs
I guarantee all pieces marked vintage are 20 years or older.
