El kit de minitelar Stray Fiber surgió de una idea brillante: los telares de bastidor están muy infravalorados. The Stray Fiber mini loom kit came about from a moment of inspiration: frame looms are vastly underestimated. Typically used for tapestry weaving, they can also make real woven cloth given a few refinements to the design. This is where the Stray Fiber Speed Comb comes in. An original Stray Fiber design, it brings the functionality of heddles to a comb small enough to hold in your hand.
No dedicated weaving room required. No lengthy warping process. No steep learning curve. This is real weaving that is simple, satisfying, and fits in a bag (easily).
No fiber company would be complete without yarn. Stray Fiber kit yarns are hand dyed in small batches. Separate packages of our hand dyed and handspun varieties will be available soon. Later this year, digital patterns will be added to the shop covering double-length, double-width, and continuous weaving on your Stray Fiber loom for those ready to wander further.
