Once again Meaghan has been amazing and has created exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to give these purses to my bridesmaids to carry on my wedding day; they will be thrilled. This is not the first item that I've had Meaghan create for my wedding and she has been so helpful and creative that I'll keep coming back to this shop for gifts in the future...I already have some other ideas of things I want her to make for me once I've paid off the wedding!

We're moving!!
Well, only about 50' feet away, but it made you look. ;-)
The new studio will be arriving this Tuesday to our backyard. Most everything is already in boxes, and I will be spending the next 3 weeks setting up the new space.

How did we get here?

On a picturesque mountain road, in a quaint little village, is a tiny yellow home, nearly 250 years old. At the top of the stairs, sewing your dreams, you will find me there, in the little room under the eaves.

I began my sewing career in 2002 when I became enthralled with the magic of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That was it. The moment that started me off to where I am today.

In 2006, my sister and I began working at Renaissance Festivals with my (at the time) small costume booth.

Finally, in 2010, I decided to quit my "day job" and devoted myself full-time to raising my fledgling business. I purchased a wonderful Viking sewing machine, and began learning the intricate ins and outs of design and embroidery. I am a truly self-taught artist, and proud of where I have come from. I am a perfectionist. It has taken countless hours to learn such an artistic trade from many different sources. I have spent years honing my skills and fostering my own creativity. I am always learning, and never shy away from a project that is outside of my comfort zone. It has been a beautiful ride so far, I look forward to bringing Strike Daekins to many great new places in the future!

I am fortunate enough to live in such a creativity-nurturing locale, and even more fortunate to be able to run my own business from home. That way, I can be a full time mother to two beautiful baby girls, Robin & Wren, who love to be a part of the creative process. Wren, my 19 month old, particularly enjoys getting into mischief in our little sewing studio. We have plans to take an historic log cabin and move it to our property later this year to be used as the new Strike Daekins Studio. Until then, we will enjoy the little room under the eaves.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
  • Check
I offer several different payment options in my shop.

However, for custom orders that require a quick turnover, I require all payments to be made via PAYPAL. The reason being, custom orders need to have fabrics and other materials purchased right away. PayPal is instant, therefore I can purchase your fabric as quickly as possible, and get your requested item to you in a timely fashion.

I am still a small business operation, and do not cary a large selection of fabrics on hand.

Thank you very much for your understanding!
For items in stock, shipping time is usually within 1-2 business days. I will also ship on Saturday mornings. Most of the time, I ship via USPS Priority for all domestic orders, and USPS First Class internationally, though other options are available upon request.

For custom orders, each custom request will have its own specified time frame associated with it, and will be discussed with each customer.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the custom nature of the shop, once fabric has been purchased for an order, refunds will not be given. ALL SALES ARE FINAL for custom work.
Returns for readily available pieces are negotiable, but not guaranteed.
