These beautiful pendant lights arrived before I expected them - they flew in quickly! Beautifully crafted, they are a work of art. It was a pleasure working with Stuart, and the birds were wrapped so well there was no way they could have ever been damaged in transit. Thanks so much Stuart! Kathy

Stuart made us a beautiful custom light that turned out perfectly! He was very great to work with and helped figure out the what was best for what we wanted. The light came quickly and was put up the day it arrived! Highly recommended

Cube pendant light just hanging out in the porch on this lovely spring morning.
Just finished making these robin bird light cages. They're ready to be wired up and fly out any day now.

About

Stuart Dunbar: Bio

This is my passion, I love making objects. I started off making simple mechanical objects and automata when I was in arts college. This lead me on a great adventure trying to learn so many different techniques and skills to make my creations better.

I started searching out artists based in Europe and trying to see as many as I could to understand how they make such great work. These visits are still clear in my head and I look back at these encounters and conversations as a source of inspiration.

I went on to study Technical Arts and Special Effects at Wimbledon College of Art London. This lead on to some great experience of working with a vast spread of different companies across london in and around film, music and the arts.

I ended up working as a welder and fabricator making scenery, props and random objects for the last 3 years in London but then I moved to Canada with my girlfriend and we have settled down in Sudbury, Ontario.

This was initially a bit of a culture shock but now it gives me more time to focus on my own creative outlets. I am slowly rebuilding my collection of tools and a decent workspace where I hope to make more handmade objects that bring together ideas and skills I've developed along the way.
