I’ve chosen specific artworks from my studio to be produced as open edition prints. These prints are an extension of my passion for creating original artwork. And I hope you enjoy the line work, colors and content as much as I do!
I create handmade art that merges advanced technology and dynamic vision with traditional painting and drawing sensibilities. These prints are accessible to collectors seeking to make a grand statement across their walls.
I've been a professional artist since 2004 while growing my studio in Des Moines and my career as a professor of fine arts. My original artwork is represented by Olson-Larsen Galleries in West Des Moines, Iowa and also can be found on my personal website www.studiohollandart.com.

Have you ever wondered how some artists seem to be propelled towards success as if a wand was waved over their painting palette - while others just never quite seem to make it? I have. I’ve put myself in both extreme camps at one time or another. In reality, I know I fall in the hard-working class of artistic people who get ahead by creating boundary-pushing art with integrity. It can be a healthy yet painstaking place to reside, most of the time. You can learn more about me as an artist today on my blog www.studiohollandart.com/blog.
Are you curious how an artist approaches a work of art? Well, it's different for many of us, but I'll try to share with you as honestly as I can the considerations I give before, during and after I create. If you can't wait, you can start with Splatter - HOW IT'S MADE. https://www.studiohollandart.com/splatterhowitsmade.html
Whether you're an artist, lawyer, foreman, or restaurateur, chances are you work yourself to death most days. I DO. Sometimes I feel like I can't finish the project I want to do because there's a list of things I'm obligated to complete first.
Being an educator in the arts has sharpened my skill to teach, discuss and interpret art. Being a family-man, I've got to make meaningful experiences with my four fabulous females in my life. Also, being true to my passion as a visual artist means I must prioritize my studio time...while also work on my business.
In my blog, in addition to sharing insight about how I create a work/life balance,
I also will share painting and drawing techniques,
details of what I think about while creating artwork,
AND ways I'm making a business out of selling artwork...
right here in my blog. Just make sure to follow me on at least Instagram or Facebook in order to be alerted about new topics I publish.
