About

Custom hand made framed cork boards, mirrors, white boards, running bib and medal holders, wood signs, shelves, refabbed furniture and more!

Hello! My name is Ashley and I run a little wood shop called Studio on Seventeen. I am a busy mom who loves designing and creating fun things! I have recently taken on my shop full time, and I am loving it! It comes after being a full time mom of course, but I definitely love my shop and am dedicated to making your experience a great one!

Between doing all the mom things, you can find me answering messages, sending proofs, putting final touches on your custom piece, and packing up orders. I am doing designs on the computer and in my wood shop at work on your piece any spare moment I get during the day, and I have taken on a night shift when most of the work is completed. And I absolutely have to mention that I would never keep up with work and life if it wasn't for my amazing husband!

It has definitely taken a lot of trial and error, changes, hard work, and lots and lots of time to get my shop where it is today. I am so excited to be where I am with it and to be able to share it with great Etsy shoppers like you! I feel like I have finally created a cohesive shop that really shows my style. I am not a Pinterest looker (don't even really get how it works), and I rarely look around on the internet (not enough time). I just take what I have already made and the materials I have, things I am inspired by, my creative nature, and see where it takes me. I want all to know I focus on great customer service and quality work. ALL of my items are custom made, designed and handcrafted just for you, by me. I see them as pieces of art that are useful and beautiful. You select all the options, so they are truly made just for you.

A little bit on how it all started...
I started my shop in 2012 just as a little hobby on the side while I had a full time job elsewhere. I called what I did "refabbing vintage furniture." In other words, taking an old yucky piece of solid wood furniture with potential and making it look beautiful again! Though I still love doing that, my shop evolved into almost all my hand made items over time. While I was refabbing furniture and old mirrors, my very supportive and helpful husband mentioned that I should just make my own frames. He helped me get started with what I needed, and from there my Studio on Seventeen style was born!

I thought it was so fun being able to turn my frames into cork boards, mirrors, and whiteboards. I loved all the possibilities and getting to be creative with different paint colors and fabrics. I kept the distressed style of my furniture with my frames and love the overall look of the end products. After frames, came shelves, then signs, then running boards, and I continue to come up with new items in my head all the time. I just need more time to create it all! You will slowly see new items pop up here and there and my shop continues to grow. Although I originally had a vision of my shop being a furniture shop, I couldn't be happier with what it has become and how far I have taken it.

I would say my favorite part of running my shop is working with you! I love custom orders and getting messages from people that have a vision of what they want and ask me to help them create it. I can't explain how awesome it is to ship out a custom order I've been working on for someone, knowing that they can't find it anywhere else. It is made specifically for them from size, colors, fabrics, knobs, and possibly a monogram. I often track the orders because I just can't wait for them to get it! I don't always hear back, but it is very exciting when a customer lets you know it made it and they love it!

I always do my best to give the customer a great experience from start to finish. I try to be responsive to messages, have quick production time, have packaging that will get your item to you in one piece, and get to you in a timely manor. If I don't have happy customers, I don't have a shop. You are what keeps me running! I want the item and your experience with Studio on Seventeen to be just what you want and more than you had expected.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my shop.

Enjoy!
~Ashley~

Shipping
Please indicate in message to seller at checkout if you need your package to require a signature upon delivery. Otherwise, all items will not require a signature. All items will come with a tracking #, so if the package shows as delivered, the carrier nor myself will be responsible for any loss.

I ship to the USA.
PLEASE NOTE: if you live in Hawaii or Alaska, please convo me BEFORE purchase so I can adjust the shipping cost. Shipping my items to these states costs extra, so I will need to know ahead of time to cover these costs. Just let me know your zip code and I will look up the cost and put it on the listing for you. If you do not convo me before purchase and want me to ship to these 2 states, I will simply notify you of this policy and let you know that you will have to pay the extra cost. Or if you do not want to pay for extra shipping, I can cancel the order and refund your money.

If you live outside of the USA and would like an item, also please contact me for a shipping quote before purchase and I can create a custom listing for you with your special shipping cost.

SHIPPING NOTE FOR FRAMES: My shipping estimates include the cost to ship the item, the box, and packing materials. I buy special boxes in bulk that fit my size frames. It costs a lot to ship my large frames due to the large size box and the weight of the item itself. My frames are solid wood which can weigh quite a bit. Metal knobs also add to the weight.
I have shipped several of these items, so I know what it costs and that is what my prices reflect.
I always go with the cheapest shipping option, so if I do get a better rate than my shipping price, I will refund you the difference and let you know I have done so.

If any item arrives damaged due to shipping, please send me a message, picture, and explanation of what the damage looks like so I can submit a claim to the shipping company.

Please convo me if you have any questions at all. Thank you!
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final. Please feel free to contact me prior to purchasing your item/s if you have any questions at all concerning colors, size, or any other details. Please remember every computer monitor is different and colors may show up differently, so message me if you need clarification of what the item looks like.
Thank you!
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that my items are made to look distressed and worn. They are not meant to be perfect. The wood I use sometimes has knots, holes, and is not perfectly square around the edges. I believe that is what makes each one unique. The frames are handmade by me, so each one varies. They are not mass produced and identical.

If it is a custom order/made to order item I am doing for you, same thing applies. If you convo me about a certain item you would like me to make for you but in a different color or size, please remember that it will not look exactly like the item listed. It is a custom piece, so it will be unique and different just for you.

If you are purchasing an item that is already made and ready to ship, it will be the item you see listed.

If it is a furniture item, same thing applies here as well. These are vintage items that are not perfect. The wood may be dinged and a little rough around the edges, but that is part of the character of a refabbed vintage item. It is refinished by hand, but still made to look old and keep it's character and age.

I encourage you to convo me before purchase if you have any questions or concerns about an item. I am happy to help you out in any way I can!

Thank you!
Ashley
