Announcement   Handmade jewelry that is rustic, organic, earthy and "Out of the Ordinary"and tells a personal story or brings memories of celebration ... all created by me here on the Gulf Coast . I use up-cycled beach sea glass, sea shells, natural gemstones, and antique watch parts combined with eco friendly recycled gold, sterling silver, and copper to create the unusual piece you wont find anywhere else.

I was "born with a hammer and a torch in my hand" ...literally creating handmade jewelry most all of my life!

Being a second generation jeweler, I followed my family's "mom and pop" business tradition for over 45 years, giving great customer service and excellent craftsmanship with every purchase. Each handcrafted piece of jewelry is lovingly made by me, keeping quality, durability, and artistic expression in mind. Most of my jewelry is "handmade to order" and since I am most of the time busy creating custom jewelry, sometimes it takes me many weeks to create.

I create using eco friendly recycled 14 K & 18 K solid gold, 14 K gold filled, sterling silver, and 100% copper combining precious gemstones, conflict free diamonds and precious gemstones in my jewelry art. Another love of mine is wire wrapped and bezel set jewelry using re-cycled surf tumbled sea glass from all parts of the world. Most of the sea glass I create with comes from "far away" destinations including Northern England, Scotland, Ireland, and Israel. I take pride in unusual and custom designs combining rustic, organic, bohemian and retro influences in my art pieces. I also like to use local sea shells found here on our beautiful gulf coast beaches.

"My STORY"
My father was a watchmaker and jeweler for over 50 years. I have been designing jewelry with my families creative influence in my designs all of my life. I desire to keep my fathers memory alive because I loved and respected him so much. His influence is seen in my re-purposed antique and vintage watch parts creations. We lost him to lung cancer in 2001, but I will always cherish the memories of working by his side for over 40 years. He is still very close to my heart and the main reason I do what I do with so much conviction.

I am an award winning artist and you can find my art in many local gulf coast art galleries. Most weekends I am at local gulf coast fine arts shows, Cathedral Square in Mobile Ala ... Gallery Night in Seville Quarter in Pensacola, or at Gulf Shores, Alabama at Waterway Village or showing at the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance Gallery.

About

I love to create "out of the ordinary" jewelry art from recycled metals and semi precious gemstones

I have always been a jewelry designer .....From a young age, I have always created jewelry. Born into a "mom and pop" jewelry business I was always surrounding myself with beautiful jewels. It was only natural for me!

My watchmaker father always inspired me! After his death in 2002, I wanted to keep his memory alive...Since I was born with a torch in my hand and loving his old mechanical watches , I started using these upcycled parts in my jewelry designs. I have always loved the character of a "hot flame" and the ability to create metal designs with a torch.

My jewelry art includes 14K gold, sterling silver, beautiful gemstone bezel set rings, precious and semi precious gemstone rings, engagement rings, stack rings and bangle bracelets.

My husband, Vanuel Robertson, of Vanuelart has recently joined me and helps design some of my jewelry. He is a talented artist with over 45 + years experience in art design. He also creates beautiful wood jewelry displays that we currently sell in my shop.

You can see our art which include Palafox Market, Gulf Coast Arts Alliance in Gulf Shores, and at Gallery Night in Pensacola. Also featured at the Art Gallery on Dauphin Island. I teach jewelry making and design in my home studio and my husband teaches acrylic painting as well.
