These shoes were the worst mistake I have ever made. They look like they have been worn as the bottoms are scuffed, the paint is blotchy. There are scratches on my shoes. I agree with the person who left the other negative review - they do look like they were painted by a 5 year old. nBuying them was a complete nightmare - it took nearly 4 months to get to me and there was NO communication about any delays as I had to track down to find out when they were getting sent and they lied to me. nAvoid buying from them as you are only wasting your money.

VERY disappointed. How convienient this website will only allow me to upload a picture if i leave positive feedback! The shoes look like they were painted by a 5 year old and i am horrorfied! VERY upset.

Jellyfish is a hand painted shoe and accessories store founded by Courtney and Philip Mason. This husband and wife team joined their talents with the intention to bring lively, fun creativity to fashion in a way that hasn’t been done before. Philip and Courtney took their passion for art, fashion and painting turning it into Jellyfish.

Jellyfish is a fine art shoe store whose focus is on creativity in fashion. Jellyfish shoes are one of a kind because they are each painted by hand. Each brush stoke is individual therefore each shoe is individual. Studio Jellyfish intends to bridge the gap between art and fashion by creating shoes that are works of art. These shoes are fashion and function in one.

Return Policy

Studio Jellyfish is an independent and locally owned shoe store in Miami Beach, Florida. Since we are a smaller business operation and have limited quantities of our hand painted shoes, we have to adhere to a typical “boutique type” return policy.

Therefore, we have two distinctly different types of return policies depending on whether your purchase is from the 1) Phone/internet or in 2) Store.

Note: please allow time before items ship (3 to 6 weeks). Because all items we sell are hand painted to order and are works of art, there is a time between when orders are taken and when the items are shipped. This allows us to ensure quality and completion of each Studio Jellyfish item.


1) Phone/Internet Order Return Policy

Items purchased from the internet shop/phone order may be returned for exchange, internet store credit. No full refunds will be given. Exchanges and credit possible if they meet the following criteria: *

1. Items are found to be in unworn or new, resalable condition and packaged in original box or packaging. (We advise that you only wear the shoes around your house for a limited time if there is a chance you might need to return these to our store.)

2. Items are returned to Studio Jellyfish with a postmark no later than 2 days from receipt of goods. For example: If you place an order and receive it from us on May 1st, then you must ship it back no later than May 3rd.

*If these criteria are not met when items are received back in store, the customer will be contacted and notified as to our findings. The item purchased will then be shipped back to customer and no credit will be given.


2) In-Store Return Policy

Shoe (flats, boots, etc) purchases made in store may not be returned or refunded.

Returns of handbags, jewelry & accessories must be made within 2 days of purchase with original receipt and in brand new condition for store credit or exchange.

No returns or exchanges for opened hosiery or socks.


* The store credits issued are in the form of a internet gift certificate code and do not expire. If you loose your credit, you can still use it because we keep a hard copy on file in our store and on our website.

*This means, if you buy an item that is considered “clearance” or "sale", we cannot take this item back for EXCHANGE OR REFUND FOR ANY REASON.

Shipping Charges

We charge a flat fee of $9.99 for USPS Priority Mail (about 2-3 Day) to customers in the Continental United States.

However, if items purchased need to be returned or exchanged to us, customer must arrange and pay for return shipping charges.

You will not be charged sales tax for your purchases outside of the State of Florida. It is your responsibility to cover those costs.

We ship throughout the entire world via USPS. Costs vary, but generally range form $15-50 depending on distance.

Additional policies and FAQs
1. Do you ship to other countries?
Yes, we ship all over the world! Cost: free shipping in the US, about $25.00 to Canada/Mexico, and about $40.00 for the rest of the world.

2. How long does it take for shipping?
We ship via US Postal Priority Mail which usually takes 2-3 days for the continental United States and 6-12 days for the rest of the world. Note: since these are all individually hand painted, please allow an extra 3-4 weeks before items leave our shop to be shipped.

3. Is the paint durable?
We use a very special paint that is both durable and flexible, we then apply a clear coat to seal the entire shoe. You can clean your Walking Art with a damp cloth or even mild window cleaner. Note: like any pair of shoes, these can be damaged by scuffs or scraping.

4. Do you do custom designs?
Yes! We will work closely with you to design and create your very own Walking Art. Wedding shoes, anniversary shoes, even holidays... feel free to call us anytime!

5. What size shoe should I buy?
Since we mostly do not carry half sizes, please always round up a size. For instance, if you normally wear a size 7 1/2, please order a size 8. Also, if you have a slightly wider foot size, please order a size larger than normal.

6. Who's face is that?
We have been illustrators for many years and simply make up the people that we paint/design. We do also offer custom work where can create a pair of shoes with your face on the heels... (even your wife, husband, pets, etc).

7. Care Guide
All Studio Jellyfish shoes and handbags are painted with an acrylic/oil based paint that stands up to water, dirt, etc. They can be cleaned like any normal item. We recommend using a mild window cleaner (Windex) and a soft cloth to remove any dust or dirt. Avoid any harsh cleaners that contain xylene or acetone as these will damage the coating and even the leather material.

Remember, these are like any normal shoes or handbags and can be scuffed or scratched. The protective coating we apply does provide protection against usual wear but these are to be treated with care.

We will touch-up or repair any of our items for the life of the product. This includes only the artwork and paint in case of damage. Please feel free to email us and we will take care of the items for a small fee, in most cases for free.
